Seth Rollins has accepted the challenge from Braun Strowman to defend his WWE Universal Championship title at Clash of Champions 2019 show next month.
After winning the title back from Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins was challenged by United States Champion AJ Styles on RAW couple of weeks ago. The match was soon turned into an opportunity for a beatdown from the OC on Rollins. Braun Strowman ran in and made the save but had his eyes fixed on the Universal title belt.
Last week, Strowman faced AJ Styles for the US title but once again match was disqualified as Gallows and Anderson interfered. This time, Rollins came out to make the save. Rollins proposed a match for RAW Tag Team Championship match against Gallows and Anderson and went on to win the titles. But all this while, Strowman always had his eyes on the bigger prize of Universal Championship.
This week, the Tag Team Champs joined Sarah Schrieber for an interview backstage. On being asked about having to defend both Universal and Tag Team Championship at Clash of Champions, Seth Rollins replied that he is not bothered about it. Strowman agreed with his partner but wondered against whom Rollins will be defending the Universal Title. Rollins got the clue and agreed to Strowman challenge for the Universal Championship match at Clash of Champions.
