Rollins-Lashley, Bliss-Bayley Matches Set for WWE RAW December 12

Three matches are announced for WWE Monday Night RAW on December 12, 2022, including two #1 contender matches.

Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley will collide for the WWE United State Championship #1 contender match next week. These two men have been the last two United States Champions. Also, both men were involved in a triple threat match at Survivor Series where Austin Theory won the title off Rollins.

Rollins won the title from Lashley after capitalizing on an attack from Brock Lesnar on October 10 episode of RAW. Lashley then kept attacking Rollins to get a rematch. Theory cashed in MITB breifcase on Rollins on November 7 episode of RAW, but Lashley interrupted to cost him the match.

Austin Theory also made his first title defense this week on RAW against Mustafa Ali and got a disqualification win thanks to Ziggler’s interruption.

The other #1 contender match will be for RAW Women’s Championship between Bailey and Alexa Bliss. Bayley won a triple threat qualifying match defeated Asuka and Rhea Ripley to get the #1 contender match. Alexa Bliss defeated Nikki Cross and Becky Lynch in the another triple threat match to get the spot.

Earlier on the show, Becky Lynch interrupted Bayley for a promo segment between them to take their storyline forward. It was Bayley’s Damage CTRL teammates who took out Becky during her match later in the night, leading to Alexa getting the pin over Nikki.

Additionally, Candice Le Rae is announced to take on Iyo Sky in a singles match on December 12, 2022 episode of WWE RAW. The show is slated to air from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI. The currently advertised line-up is as below:

  • Bobby Lashley vs Seth Rollins – #1 contender match for WWE United States Championship
  • Alexa Bliss vs Bayley – #1 contender match for WWE RAW Women’s Championship
  • Candice LeRae vs Iyo Sky
