Rhea Ripley Names NXT Women’s Team for Survivor Series 2019
Rhea Ripley has revealed the NXT women’s team for Survivor Series’s 5-on-5 elimination tag team matches against team RAW and SmackDown.
Rhea Ripley was in the WarGames match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 last night and came out victorious despite many hurdles. First, Mia Yim was attacked backstage and was deemed unfit for the match. Later, Dakota Kai turned heel on Ripley’s team and rendered Tegan Nox immovable. Ripley and Candice LeRae worked 2-on-4 handicapped but still came on the winning side.
In the post-show chat with Triple H, Rhea Ripley was invited for an interview to discuss her match. She also went on to reveal the NXT’s team that she will be leading at Survivor Series. The first person she chose was Candice LeRae, who fought alongside her at WarGames match against the disadvantage.
Next, she chose two members from her opposite team from WarGames match in Io Shirai and Bianca Beliar. For the last member, she called on the NXT UK athlete Toni Storm with whom she has fought many battles. The team is more or less similar to the team that showed up at SmackDown with the exception of Mia Yim and Tegan Nox, who both were injured(kayfabe) during the WarGames match.
Survivor Series 2019 will feature the three-way contests between RAW, SmackDown and NXT. The event will see the men and women’s tag team elimination matches, champions’ matches between tag teams, women’s champions and secondary champions from all three brands.
Charlotte Flair will be joined by Asuka, Kairi Sane, Natalya and Sarah Logan for the RAW team in the 15 women tag team elimination match. For SmackDown, Sasha Banks will lead the team with Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, and Carmella.
