Returning Matt Hardy and NXT stars get the wins on this week’s SmackDown

Matt Hardy made his return to SmackDown and aligned with his brother Jeff to get the win against the Bar while the NXT stars Ricochet and Aleister Black were able to overcome the challenge from Nakamura and Rusev this week on SmackDown.

Matt Hardy was last seen on RAW in July last year and had to take time off due to a back issue. Hardy posted a picture on Twitter on Sunday where he looked much fitter. He made a surprise return to SmackDown last night and the match between Cesaro and Johnny Gargano was changed to the Bar vs the Hardy Boyz. The Hardy Boyz were able to get the win over the former RAW and SmackDown tag team champions when Matt hit the twist of fate on Sheamus followed by the Swanton Bomb from Jeff. The Hardy Boyz have won a tag team match on SmackDown after 10 years with the last win coming in January 20009 against Edge and Big Show.

Ricochet and Aleister Black continued their winning run in the main roster when they defeated the team of Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura despite the opponents controlling a major portion of the match. Black and Ricochet have won all of their singles and tag team matches in last two weeks. WWE is certainly going big for the NXT recruits.
