Charlotte Flair Suffered Torn ACL, MCL & Meniscus Tear
Charlotte Flair sustained a knee injury during December 8, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown, and a recent report offers an update on her condition.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Charlotte Flair has suffered injuries to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus following her match with Asuka. Johnson mentioned that she is set to undergo surgery.
During SmackDown episode on December 8, Charlotte Flair competed against Asuka. At a certain moment in the match, Flair appeared to sustain an injury, specifically to her knee. Flair injured her knee after a rough fall from the top rope.
WWE also confirmed the injury on SmackDown this week. In addition to these injuries to her leg, it is also reported that Flair also suffered a strained neck during the fall. This is the first severe injury that Flair has suffered in her career.

Flair was absent from WWE in the latter half of 2022 also, but it was not due to injuries. Flair started 2023 with a shock return and beating Ronda Rousey for WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
She dropped the title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 later. Afterward, she aimed to reclaim the championship from IYO SKY, leading up to her participation in her inaugural WarGames match against Damage CTRL last month. The match against Asuka was also part on this ongoing rivalry.
