Welcome to the live blog as NXT returns with just the second premium live event this year with WWE NXT In Your House 2022.

The event will see Bron Breakker defend the NXT Championship against Joe Gacy where Breakker can also lose the title via disqualification also, which is usually not the case with title matches. Will Jeo Gacy’s mind games work on Breakker?

North American Champion Cameron Grimes will face former champion Carmelo Hayes to end the question mark over his title reign once and for all. The women’s title match will have Mandy Rose defend the title against Wendy Choo.

Pretty Deadly and Creed Brothers will clash over the NXT Tag Team titles while Toxic Attraction’s Jacy Jayce & Gigi Dolin are defending women’s tag team titles against Katana Chance & Kayden Carter. Legado del Fantasma will take on Tony D’Angelo’s stable where the losing team will have to join the winning stable. Which crime family will add member here? Or is there a twist in the tale?

  • Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan defeated Legado del Fantasma(Santos Escobar, Toro Del Cruz & Oscar Wilde) in a tag team match via pinfall. Legado del Fantasma will join Tony’s Crime Family.
  • Toxic Attraction(Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin)(c) defeated Katana Chance & Kayden Carter in a tag team match via pinfall to retain NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
  • Carmelo Hayes defeated Cameron Grimes(c) in a singles match via pinfall to retain NXT North American Championship.
  • Mandy Rose(c) defeated Wendy Choo in a singles match via pinfall to retain NXT Women’s Championship.
  • The Creed Brothers(Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) defeated Pretty Deadly(Kit Wilson & Elton Prince)(c) in a tag team match via pinfall to win NXT Tag Team Championship.

The pre-show has started with McKenzie Mitchell and Sam Roberts hosting. They go through the complete match card for the night.


Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes interrupt the hosts and Williams says Hayes does not miss. Hayes says he is watching over Carmelo Grimes ever since he took his title away at Stand and Deliver. Hayes praises Grimes for a while before saying he will prove that there is no champion like him.


We cut backstage to Roderick Strong training. Ivy Nile asks him if The Creed Brothers will still be out if they lose tonight. The Creed Brothers come in and tell Strong that they take their challenges head on. After the brothers leave, Damon Kemp tells Strong that they are ready. Strong replies, “They better be.”


A video package opens the main show. Joe Gacy’s cut a promo in the package and says he will change everything tonight and burns down a NXT In Your House poster.

Legado del Fantasma(Santos Escobar, Toro Del Cruz & Oscar Wilde) vs Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan

Both teams make their entrance. We get a short video package where they talk about taking control of the streets. Tony asks the referee to check the corner for tools. Tony and Escobar shake hands before starting off. Wilde and Two Dimes Donovan start the match.

Quick takedowns are followed by a side headlock from Donovan. Wilde hits a dropkick. Lorenzo tags in and is hit with a shoulder tackle. Tony and Escobar are staring down each other from apron. Wilde hits armdrag and hurrincanrana. Lorenzo hits a big boot and an uppercut. They nail each other at the same time and land in their respective corners. Tony and Escobar tag in. Escobar hits a dropkick. Donovan takes cheap shot at Escobar and this leads to a complete breakdown of the match.

The referee takes things under control but Tony has hit Escobar on his knees by then. Escobar turns it around quickly against Two Dime and takes him to his corner. Legado clotheslines him in the corner and Wilde hits a kick and suplex. Two Dime trips Del Toro on the ropes to take control. Tony and company stomp on Del Toro in the corner. Lorenzo puts on a back stretch. Del Toro fights back with punches but Lorenzo takes him to the corner again. Tony hits a suplex on Del Toro as he comes in. More quick tags. Lorenzo hits an elbow drop while Tony holds Del Toro on his knees. Del Toro hits elbows to the ribs but Lorenzo holds onto his legs. Del Toro kicks him away and tags in Escobar.

Escobar hits kicks on the opposite team. He hits a hurricanrana, a gamengiri and a double ax handle on Tony to send him to the floor. Del Toro and Wilde hits dives on Stacks and Two Dime. Escobar hits plancha on Tony. Back to the ring, Escobar nails more punches on Tony. Tony misses in the corner and eats more shots. An enzuigiri sets up Tony on the top. Lorenzo pushes Escobar away from the top while Two Dime distracted the referee. Del Toro and Two Dime tag in. Del Toro avoids him in the corner and nails a drop kick. Two Dime explodes with a clothesline. Lorenzo comes in for a double team but Wilde uses a low bridge to bring Donovan out of the ring. Legado hits a double team enzuigiri and leg sweep combo on Lorenzo. Donovan breaks the pin.

All six men start brawling in the ring. Escobar and Tony clash in the middle of the ring and are down in the ring. Lopez hands knuckle to Escobar while distracts the referee and crowbar is brought in from the other side. The referee is distracted by interferences. Wilde takes the crowbar from Tony and Stacks saves Tony to take the crowbar shot himself. Tony takes the knuckles from Escobar and nails Wilde with it. Two Dime pushes Stacks on top of Wilde and the referee counts the pin.

Winners – Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan

We get a video package for Alba Fyre who tells us that her ancestors were firekeepers. Lash Legends mocks Fyre’s promo with other women backstage. One of the women tells Legends that if Legends does not challenge her, she will do it herself.

Toxic Attraction(Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin)(c) vs Katana Chance & Kayden Carter – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Toxic Attraction attack before the bell rings. Chance and Carter turn it around quickly and hit dives on the floor on their opponent. Jayce starts against Carter. Carters sends her into the corner and Chance blocks her in the corner for Carter to hit a dropkick. Chance comes in and Dolin takes a blind tag to hit her with a knee from the apron. Toxic Attraction work on Chance for a while and keep her under control.

Dolin goes for a suplex but Chance blocks it. Dolin still drops her and knocks Carter from the apron. Chance fights back with punches to the ribs. Chance bounces off Carter’s back on the ropes to drop Dolin. Carter and Jayne tag in. Carter hits forearms on both opponents. She nails an uppercut on Jayne and a dropkick on Dolin. Carter slams her face to the match to get a two-count. Jayne nails her with a big forearm for a two-count.

Dolin comes in and unloads on Carter some more. Carter hits Jayne with punch of her own and then hits a backbreaker using the ropes. Chance tags in and sets up Jayne on the top. Chance and Carter hit double superkick on Dolin. They drop Jayne from the top with a double team move to get another near fall. Dolin pulls out Carter to the floor. They work on Chance with high-low and Carter has to run in to break the pin.

Carter hits a superkick and a neckbreaker on Jayne on the apron. Both are down on the floor now. Chance hits quick kicks on Dolin and follows with a standing moonsault to get another two-count. Carter hits a 450-splash on Dolin and Jayne breaks the pin this time. Carter kicks away Jayne on the floor. Carter goes for a roll-up on Dolin but she kicks out and sends Carter to the ropes. Jayne takes a cheap shot at Carter and Dolin nails her with a kick to get the pin.

Cameron Grimes(c) vs Carmelo Hayes – NXT North American Championship Match

Back and forth action and running the ropes to start the match. Hayes hits a hurricanrana but Grimes lands on his feet. Both men get several two-count before coming to a stalemate. Grimes goes for a double leg takedown. Hayes kicks him away but misses his move as he comes from the top. Grimes goes for the Cave In but Hayes avoids it in the corner. They come to another stalemate at this point.

Grimes hits a big chop and knee to midsection. A kick and an uppercut follow. Hayes hits back with an elbow before Grimes drops him with a back body drop. He follows with a running kick. Hayes sends him to the apron and trips him there face first. Grimes hits a crossbody off the top to get another two-count. Hayes trips Grimes on the apron once again before hitting a tornado DDT on the apron. Hayes is also down with moon.

Hayes takes Grimes back to the ring. He hits kicks and punches. He takes Grimes to the corner to hit a chop. Grimes hits punches to the gut but Hayes slams him back to the mat. Grimes hits punches to gut while Hayes kicks him away. Some back and forth action in the corner. Hayes hits a springboard clothesline to get another two-count. Hayes works on Grimes on the ropes. Williams traps Grimes’ arm on the ropes as Hayes distracts the referee. Grimes breaks free but Hayes drops him face first to the mat for another two-count.

Grimes fights out of an armlock. He nails a back elbow and a big boot. Williams distracts him once again but Grimes manages to hit springboard Spanish fly on Hayes. They trade punches. Grimes runs over Hayes a couple of times with forearms. Hayes gets his boots up in the corner. Grimes nails him again. Grimes hits a tilt-a-whirl Urinage to get another two-count. Hayes fights out of a waistlock with back elbows but Grimes hits a superkick for a near fall.

Hayes hits Grimes with double knees facebuster to get another close two-count. Hayes gets to the top now but Grimes avoids the stomp. Grimes hits a standing Spanish Fly to get a close two-count himself. Hayes hits a kick. Grimes fires back with a roundhouse kick and poison rana. Grimes goes for a dive on Hayes outside but Trick Williams gets burnt of it. Williams tries to stop Grimes and eats a Cave In on the apron. Hayes drops Grimes on the turnbuckle and then hits the leg drop from the top to get the pin.

Winner – Carmelo Hayes(new NXT North American Champion)

Joe Gacy tells his minions that Bron Breakker’s seconds as the NXT Champion are numbered. He has teared down the past and will now tear down the present for a new future.

Mandy Rose(c) vs Wendy Choo – NXT Women’s Championship Match

Choo uses a slingshot to interrupt Rose’s introduction. Rose attacks her before the bell in response. Choo unloads as the bell rings. Rose sends her to the corner hits shoulder blocks. Choo hits her with a dropkick and a running boot. She misses an elbow drop and Rose nails a basement dropkick, Rose unloads on Choo on the mat. Rose works on her on the ropes. Rose hits a snap suplex next. Rose wraps her legs around the waist.

Choo fights back with back elbow. She hits a jawbreaker before Rose runs her down with a clothesline. Choo blocks a supelx and gets Rose into an inside cradle for a two-count. Rose nails her with forearm to get a two-count of her own. Choo fighst back with forearms and gets another two-count. Rose drops her with variation of a suplex to get a two-count.

Rose slams Choo’s face to the mat. Choo hits her with quick punches but Rose ends up putting her in an octopus stretch. Choo comes out of it and hits quickly runs her over with punches, forearms and clotheslines. Rose gets to the floor for a breather. Rose hits a big spinebuster on the ramp as Choo go for a handspring move. Rose gets back to the ring and waits for Choo to return. The referee starts to count her down and Choo beats the count at 9. Rose hits another big spinebuster.

Rose goes for a running knee in the corner but Choo uses her pillow to soften it. Rose gets mad and rips apart the pillow. Choo gets hyped up and hits kicks and punches. She drops Mandy with a dropkick. Choo removes her jumpsuit upper and uses it somehow to go for a backslide for a two-count. Choo puts on a rear naked choke and Rose has to work to break it. Choo gets to the top. Rose pulls her down and hits a running knee to get the pin.

Winner – Mandy Rose

Pretty Deadly(Kit Wilson & Elton Prince)(c) vs The Creed Brothers(Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) – NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Brutus starts against Prince. Prince backs up and Wilson gets a blind tag to attack Brutus. Brutus hits Wilson with waistlock takedowns. He tosses Wilson a few times around the ring. Wilson tries to take a cheap shot at Julius to entice them to tag in. Wilson plays cat and mouse with Julius to get an upperhand. Julius hits her with a belly to back suplex. He hits Prince with a German suplex and then a waistlock takedown.

Wilson holds onto Prince’s hands to stop another German suplex from Julius. Brutus comes in and Creed Brothers hit tandem German suplexes on their opponents. Pretty Deadly get frustrated. Julius puts Prince into a submission when he returns to the ring. Prince gets up and runs the ropes. Julius takes out his leg. Brutus comes in and hits a slam. Julius comes back and puts on an arm lock. Prince and Wilson use some tactics to tag in Wilson. They knock Creed Brothers to the floor.

Creeds take the control back quickly though. They work on Wilson with knee strikes and elbow to the jaw. Prince tags in and hits a seated senton by jumping off Prince’s back. Brutus takes Prince to the corner. Julius drops Wilson a couple of times. Pretty Deadly have to run out of the ring to avoid more attack. Julius goes to the floor and Prince ends up slamming him into the ringpost. Prince joins Wilson to hits spinebuster on Julius on the steel steps.

Pretty Deadly keep Julius under control with quick tags. Wilson hits him with a suplex despite Julius’ attempt to block it. Prince comes in to hits double suplex to get a two-count. Prince hits elbow drops to the back. Julius hits a jawbreaker but he crumbles under Prince’s weight. Wilson hits an elbow drops on his back from the top to get a close two-count. Wilson puts on the Boston Crab. Julius is under pressure but drags to the ropes to break it. Julius kicks Wilson away but Prince tags in to stop him again. Julius ends up throwing Prince over and tags in Brutus.

Brutus comes in with takedown and big blows on Prince. He nails punches on Wilson before throwing Prince into him. Brutus drops on Prince from the top and Wilson has to break the pin. Brutus hits a German suplex on Wilson. Prince throws in the title belt but it lands near Julius. Julius contemplates using it, but his mother hypes him up to do the right thing. Julius hands the title back to the referee. Brutus hits a torture rack slam on Wilson and Julius hits a shooting star press. Julius nails a big lariat and gets the pin as Brutus stopped Prince from breaking it.

Winners – The Creed Brothers

Bron Breakker(c) vs Joe Gacy – NXT Championship Match

Bron Breakker comes out first. He is wearing a replica of Scott Steiner’s gear from one of the WrestleMania. Joe Gacy comes out with his two minions.

Gacy pushes Breakker to the corner. Breakker turns it around and unloads in the corner himself. The referee tells to stop and Breakker does so to avoids DQ. Gacy hits some shots and a backbreaker. Bron hits a clotheslines and an overhead suplex. He unloads in the corner. Bron hits a spinebuster and Gacy rolls to the floor. One of the minnions comes with a steel chair towards Bron. Bron snatches it and fights them off.

Gacy takes advantage of the distraction and nails Breakker. In the ring, Gacy hits a punch and a neckbreaker. He hits running elbow strikes in the corner. Gacy stares at the camera with his maniacal face. Gacy hits big chops next. He pulls Breakker back to the ring from the apron and gets a two-count. Gacy hangs upside down in the corner to irritate Breakker. Gacy runs him over with a clothesline to get a two-count. Breakker trips Gacy on the apron as he was going to the top. He brings Gacy back to the ring. Gacy hits him with a clothesline to get another two-count.

Breakker tries to fight back again but Gacy hits him with a belly-to-back suplex. Gacy hits more punches and Breakker starts to hype up. They trade strikes before Breakker hits flying shoulder tackles and a spinebuster. Gacy goes to the floor and Breakker hits him with suicide dive. Back to the ring, Breakker goes to the top but Gacy’s minion gets into the ring to distract him. Another minion hands Gacy a steel chair. Gacy brings out Eddie Guerrero’s tactics and slams the chair into the mat and throws it to Breakker. The referee thinks Breakker has hit Gacy with the chair and is about to call for a DQ. Another referee comes in and stops him from doing so.

Breakker hits quick tackles and then tackles Gacy on the apron to send him into the announce table. Gacy is hurt. Breakker goes to the floor and brings Gacy back to the ring to hit a bulldog from the second rope. Gacy kicks out of the pin though. Gacy pulls up the chair and hands it to Breakker. Breakker thinks about using it and then hands it to the referee.

Gacy hits a low blow behind the referee’s back. Breakker kicks out of the pin somehow. Breakker gets his hands on the chair now and is irate. But, he hits Gacy’s minions with it and cuts off Gacy’s handspring with a spear. Breakker hits a powerslam to get the pin.

Winner – Bron Breakker
