WWE Wrestler Mike Kanellis has requested his release from the company for the second time this year.
Kanellis took to Twitter to reveal that he has asked for the release from WWE. Mike thanked everyone in WWE who has ever helped him and stated that working 1 day a week is just not going to cut it for him. He added that he joined WWE to work but that opportunity does not exist right now.
Mike also commented that he thought re-signing in June would be best for his family but he has been frustrated ever since and his personal life is affecting due to this. Both Mike and Maria Kanellis reportedly requested release from WWE back in January. But the things turned around and they resigned a deal for the next five years back in June.
Since the renewal deal in June, Mike has been humiliated every time he has been coming to the screen and has been squashed by other wrestlers in each of his matches so far. He has fared better in 205 Live though and has been constantly involved in the brand. Both Mike and Maria were left out of the WWE Draft 2019 pool.
Maria Kanellis also posted on Instagram & Twitter in support of her husband and clarified that only Mike has asked only of his release and she has made no such demands from the company (post below). Maria is currently pregnant with her second child.
Before coming to WWE in 2017, Mike Bennett has some successful stints with Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling and then with TNA Impact.
