AEW World Champion Kenny Omega will face the winner between Rich Swann & Moose(at IMPACT Sacrifice) at IMPACT Rebellion 2021 PPV.
Executive Vice-President of Impact Wrestling, Scott D’Amore concluded this week’s show with two major announcements. He revealed that at Sacrifice PPV, Impact World Champion Rich Swann will face the TNA World Champion Moose in a title unification match.
D’Moore then added that the winner of this match will go on to face AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a Title vs Title match at Impact Rebellion PPV. This match was speculated to be added to Rebellion for some time now.
Moose has been after Swann since Hard to Kill where Swann lost to Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers in the main event match. This feud got a spark after that and now the fans will finally see a title match featuring these two.
Meanwhile, Kenny Omega has introduced his belt collector gimmick after winning the AEW World title and adding Don Callis as his manager. Under this gimmick, Omega wants to win prestigious titles from different promotions.
If he wins his match at Impact Rebellion, then he will be holding the World titles from three different promotions at the same time. Currently, he also has the AAA Championship from the Lucha Libre promotion in Mexico, which he won in October 2019 after defeating Rey Fenix.
This Sunday, he defended his AEW World Championship in the first-ever Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match against Jon Moxley.
IMPACT Sacrifice airs this Saturday, 13 March 2021. IMPACT Rebellion 2021 will take place on 24 April 2021.
