John Cena to Return on RAW and SmackDown in Early 2019

This week’s episode of RAW was pre-taped last week and even then WWE gave us one of the best episodes of RAW in recent weeks. Mr. McMahon made some important announcements via a video on last night’s RAW and one of them was the return of John Cena to WWE on the January 1, 2019 episode.

John Cena spent the majority of 2018 off WWE television as his Hollywood career has hit new heights in 2018. Now as he has wrapped up the promotions of the Transformers franchise spin-off Bumblebee, he is set to return to WWE for a brief stint.

Vince McMahon confirmed the same when he said “he’s back on RAW, he’s back on SmackDown.” With the Royal Rumble around the corner and WrestleMania season almost here, it will be interesting to see what exact plans WWE has for John Cena.

Earlier in the month, John Cena has apologized to legendary WWE superstar The Rock, against whom he had talked a lot once The Rock became irregular at WWE after becoming an actor. Now when Cena has also become a part-time WWE superstar, he has apologized to The Rock for what he had said earlier.

“I’m sorry and I was wrong. That’s the best thing I can do. I think my gripes were legitimate inside the WWE Universe. I called him out as someone that had tunnel vision in WWE and didn’t understand the process that when you make a movie, you are not allowed to do anything else because if you ruin this – if Seth Rollins splits my nose open over here – I can’t film the movie and there are hundreds of other people whose financial well being depends on whether I show up to work in one piece.”
