Gail Kim Return, Impact World Title Match & More Added to Impact 1000

The match card for the Impact 1000th episode is getting more and more stacked with each passing day. 

Impact is set to have its 1000-episode celebration on September 9, 2023, which will feature Alex Shelley defending the Impact World Title against Trey Miguel. The latter is looking to win his first World Title and this is the first time he will be in the IMPACT World title match since July 2020. 

These two have already collided three times in 2022 alone. Trey Miguel won two of these fights whereas Alex Shelley only managed to win one. So, now Alex will have a chance to settle the score. 

It was also announced that the former Knockout’s Champion and Impact Hall of Famer Gail Kim will return to the show for another match. She hasn’t wrestled since losing to Tessa Blanchard in 2019. Her rival and another Hall of Famer Awesome Kong was also announced for this show. However, their opponents are yet to be revealed. 

The promotion also announced that the infamous stipulation Feast or Fired will return at the Impact 1000 episode. The winner gets the title shot whereas the loser is fired from the company. 

Team 3D reunion and in-ring return were also announced. The current line-up of Impact 1000 is as follows.
