Former WWE Star Mike ‘Mantaur’ Halac Passes Away at 55
Unfortunate news came for all wrestling fans that former WWE star Mantaur, aka Mike Halac, passed away at the age of 55 leaving behind a sense of sadness among his fans.
Eric Simms of ESS Promotions shared the sad news via a Facebook post. Halac’s daughter Demi shared that her father peacefully passed away in his sleep on July 11.

Since the news came out on social media, the whole wrestling community is paying tribute to Halac.
In WWF, he is remembered for playing a half-man, half-beast character named Mantaur. The character debuted in January 1995 but never caught much attention from the fans. Halac was released from WWF in after July 1995.
Halac then wrestled for ECW under his original ring name Bruiser Mastino. He also has a couple of short stints with WWF in 1996 and 1997. Halac is also a former USWA Unified World Champion which he won by defeating Jerry Lawler on March 5, 1997.
Halac also appeared for WCW in once on September 22, 1997, where he defeated Damian 666 in a Dark match before WCW Monday Nitro episode.
