Why was Finn Balor Pulled Out of WWE SmackVille Show??
Finn Balor might have been pulled out of WWE SmackVille live event due to some illness.
Last night, Finn Balor was supposed to battle with Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship at SmackDown’s live event show in Nashville title as ‘SmackVille’. But just an hour or so before the show, WWE tweeted that Balor wouldn’t be able to compete. The change was attributed to an undisclosed injury. Balor was later replaced by Ali who was unable to take the title away from Nakamura.
However, PWinsider is now reporting that the reason for Finn Balor pulling out of SmackVille is not an injury. But he is dealing with an illness and was hospitalized. Wrestling Observer Radio has also noted that Balor suffered from stomach flu and was indeed hospitalized. Balor is scheduled to face Dolph Ziggler at SmackDown on Tuesday. So, the situation should not be much serious as WWE is hoping he’ll be back to action by the time.
Balor is next also on the SummerSlam 2019 card where he will face Bray Wyatt. It is currently not clear whether Balor will return in his Demon King gimmick for the show. Although, Wyatt is expected to battle in his new gimmick of the Fiend.
