Don Callis Attacked by Fan at TripleMania XXXI Press Conference
Don Callis was attacked by a fan in the post-show press conference of AAA Triplemania XXXI: Tijuana event.
Kenny Omega faced El Hijo Del Vikingo at TripleMania XXXI night 2 but was unsuccessful in winning AAA Mega Championship. Don Callis said he would be in Vikingo’s corner during the match, but sent to the back by Konnan before match could start.
In the press conference after the show, Callis got his protege Konosuke Takeshita to attack Omega in a kayfabe situation as part of their ongoing rivalry. However, an enraged fan then attacked Callis also while the security was breaking up Takeshita and Omega.

Bryan Alvarez on F4WOnline is reporting that while Takeshita attacking Omega was part of planned angle, the fan attacking Callis was not. Don Callis has reportedly injured his neck and ankle in the attack. He was taken to San Diego for medical treatment.
Don Callis turned on Kenny Omega in May this year to end their long time collaboration. However, Callis brought in Takeshita into his fold even before that. Takeshita will team up with Blackpool Combat Club to take on The Golden Elite in Blood & Guts match on Dynamite this week.
The extent of Don Callis’ injury are not know at this point and it remains to be seen if he will be involved on Dynamite this week. Keep tuned in for the latest updates on Callis’ situation.
