Darby Allin Becomes #1 Contender, To Face Jericho Next Week
Darby Allin has become the number #1 contender for AEW World Championship after defeating Jimmy Havoc at AEW Dynamite episode this week.
Jimmy Havoc and Darby Allin were the partners with Joey Janela at Fight for the Fallen for a tag team match. After losing that match, three of them imploded on each other. This led to a triple threat match at All Out where Jimmy Havoc pinned Allin to come out as the winner.
After his win over CIMA at AEW Dark earlier this week, Allin was granted an opportunity to become the no #1 contender for AEW World Championship. Jimmy Havoc once again dominated the bout between these two. However, Allin weathered the storm and finished with his signature flipping stunner and coffin drop.
Allin will now face AEW World Champion next week at AEW Dynamite on 16 October. But he already started making a statement on Jericho as he came out with on a skateboard to attack the champ after his main event match last night. The skateboard segment has blown over the Wrestling fans on social media.
Jericho is already scheduled to face Cody Rhodes at AEW Full Gear 2019. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that Jericho would lose the title here. Earlier in the night, Chris Jericho introduced his 5 men stable as the Inner Circle.
