Watch: Christian Cage Turns on Jungle Boy at Road Rager 2022
Christian Cage has turned on Jungle Boy in the aftermath of AEW World Tag Team Championship match at AEW Road Rager 2022 Dynamite special.
The Young Bucks defeated Jurassic Express in a ladder match to win the AEW tag titles. After the match, Christian Cage came out to check on his friends Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy.
Luchasaurus was down on the floor after being sent through a set of tables. Christian got into the ring to check on Jungle Boy as he was helped by a referee. Christian suddenly dropped Jungle Boy and then hit him with kill switch. He also hit him with con-chair-to to close the show.
Christian has been aligned with Jurrasic Express ever since his arrival to AEW in March 2022 as they feud with The Elites, Team Taz and other factions. The tension between Christian Cage and Jungle Boy was evident over the past few weeks.
Jungle Boy lost a few crucial singles matches against Kyle O’Reilly and Ricky Starks. Christian was upset with these losses but kept encouraging Jungle Boy. Then, last week, Christian Cage accepted a challenge from The Young Bucks and The Hardys for a ladder match for Jurassic Express’s tag team titles in a ladder match, which did not go down well with Jungle Boy.
It remains to be seen what explanation does the WWE Hall of Famer give for turning on one his best allies in AEW. Keep tuned in for all the updates.
