AEW Dynamite episode of January 10, 2024, is Homecoming special and saw them return to their base during the pandemic era at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.

Some excellent singles match were announced as Hangman Adam Page and Claudio Castagnoli. Ricky Starks and Sammy Guevara were set to face-off in another singles match before the tag title street fight later in the week. Sting and Darby Allin looked to keep their unbeaten streak going as they faced Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita.

Two matches were booked as a tribute to Mr. Brodie Lee. Adam Copeland, Orange Cassidy, Preston Vance and Dustin Rhodes faced Lance Archer, Brian Cage & Gates of Agony. Women’s match featured Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Anna Jay and Thunder Rosa against Saraya, Ruby Soho, Skye Blue and Julia Hart.

Hangman Adam Page defeated Claudio Castagnoli

Page attacked Claudio as he entered the ring. Claudio raked Page’s eye to make a comeback. Claudio put Hangman in the swing before putting on sharpshooter before he had to leave it as Hangman was getting to the ropes. After Hangman created some momentum, Claudio took us to a break by countering with pick-up and slam on the ramp.

Hangman hit a lariat after running down the ramp. Claudio countered the Buckshot Lariat with a pop-up uppercut. Hangman hit a moonsault on the floor. Claudio blocked Dead Eye once, but Hangman hit on the second attempt to get a near fall. Hangman countered an avalanche powerbomb with a hurricanrana and had to hit two Buckshot Lariat back to back to get the pinfall.


We got a video clip with some of the moments from Mr. Brodie Lee’s time in Dynamite which was spent at Daily’s Place itself during the Pandemic Era.

Adam Copeland, Orange Cassidy, Preston Vance & Dustin Rhodes defeated Lance Archer, Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona

Dustin and Liona started the match for their sides. Quick tags from both sides kept the match going. There was some tension between Lance Archer and his teammates. The heels used underhanded tactics to drop Cassidy on the floor to take us to a break.

Cassidy was getting beat up as we returned. Archer shut down Cassidy’s comeback with a nasty jumping knee on the top rope. Jose the Assistant pulled Archer’s leg to stop his momentum, and Jake “The Snake” Roberts decked Jose in response. This all allowed Cassidy to hit a tornado DDT. Preston Vance got the hot tag and a moment to shine. After Liona broke up a pin, the match breakdown with everyone coming into the ring one by one. Vance ducked a running boot from Archer, which caught Liona instead. Cage dumped Archer out of the ring in response. Edge hit Cage with a spear. Dustin swiped Kaun on the floor with a moonsault. Vance hit a discus lariat on Kaun to get the pinfall.

Bullet Club Gold were backstage when The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn came to try to convince them to form a super faction to fight The Undisputed Kingdom. Jay White told them they need more time to ponder.

AEW World Champion & Challengers

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe made his way out first time as the champion. Joe said the protocol to challenge the World Champion had been changed. No more whining or comments on social media. You need to submit your record to a championship committee before he can whoop their a##. Swerve Strickland interrupted him with the rest of Mogul Embassy. Swerve said there is nothing personal with Joe, and he only wanted AEW World title. Hangman Adam Page also came in and said he might have lost sight of AEW World title, and he would make it his in 2024. Swerve was held back by Prince Nana before they left. Page then told Joe that he did not forget what Joe did to him and he would take the title away from him. After Hangman left, it was Hook who came out. Hook got into Joe’s face and said “one week” before leaving.

AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm was backstage with his butler and Mariah May. When May asked for feedback from her debut match, Storm said he did not do see much. When asked about Deonna Purrazzo’s debut, Toni told his butler to set up a meeting with her. Storm kept raining on May’s party whenever she interjected.

Ricky Starks defeated Sammy Guevara

After a back-and-forth start, Ricky dropped Sammy on the floor to take us to a break.

After the break, quick counters continued before Sammy caught Starks in an inside cradle to get the pinfall.

Starks offered a handshake to hold Sammy back until Big Bill could attack him. Chris Jericho came out with his baseball bat to counter. They continued to brawl into the crowd to promote their street fight at Battle of the Belts 9 later this week.

Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Anna Jay & Thunder Rosa defeated Saraya, Ruby Soho, Skye Blue & Julia Hart

Ruby and Anna started the match. Ruby was kept under control. Willow ran her over, but as she got on the top rope, Harley Cameron pulled her off to take us a break.

All 8 women started getting involved in the match after the break. We saw Wollow, Kris, Anna and Rosa hitting a quadruple suplex on their opponents. The chaos continued further until the ring was cleared and Anna put Skye in queenslayer to get a submission.

We got a video where Wheeler Yuta challenged Eddie Kingston for Continental Crown, pointing out that Eddie had not beaten him from Blackpool Combat Club.

Roderick Strong defeated Bryan Keith

Bryan Keith’s start was thwarted quickly. Strong kept control for the major part before Keith’s second coming. Strong caught him with End of Heartache to get the pinfall.

After the match, Adam Cole cut a promo putting over his stablemates – calling Strong the greatest pound for pound wrestler today, The Kingdom as the best tag team on the planet and Wardlow as the most vicious man in AEW.


Deonna Purrazo revealed backstage that she would make her AEW in-ring debut at Collision. Red Velvet came in saying that she would also make her Collision debut and they should face each other. Purrazzo accepted the challenge.

Sting & Darby Allin defeated Don Callis Family(Powerhouse Hobbs & Konosuke Takeshita)

Sting & Hobbs and Darby & Takeshita were the pairing that started this street fight brawl at ringside. Sting pushed Hobbs onto a roadcase and then into some bins. Takeshita countered Coffin Drop with a rolling German suplex.

Takeshita and Hobbs set up tables but Darby thwarted their plans by throwing drinks on Takeshita. They still kept control over Darby though as they took him to the ring. Sting came in fired up and hit a Stinger Splash to Hobbs. After Takeshita countered Sting, Ric Flair came into the ring to chop Hobbs. All 4 men in the match then brawled up the ramp. Darby hit a Coffin drop on Takeshita by jumping from the top of the screen. Sting countered Hobbs by putting him through the tables with a Scorpion Death Drop to get the pinfall.

After the match, Tony Schiavone asked Sting who his final opponents would be. Before Sting could answere, The Young Bucks made their return and stare down Sting to close the show. The Bucks had a new look with thin mustaches.
