AEW Dynamite episode of April 13, 2022, will feature AEW Tag Team Champions & ROH World TV Champion defending their titles. The event will air live from the UNO Lakefront Arena, New Orleans, LA. 

The Jurassic Express will defend their tag-team belts against ReDRagon once again. Meanwhile, Minoru Suzuki will put his ROH world TV championship on the line against Samoa Joe. CM Punk will take on Penta Oscura while Marina Shafir will face Skye Blue.

Santana, Ortiz & Eddie Kingston will face Chris Jericho, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia of the Jericho Appreciation Society in a six-man tag-team match. MJF will collide against Shawn Dean in a singles match, whereas Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland will be in action against Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Stark.

Live Updates


CM Punk vs Penta Oscuro

Duelling chants to start the match. Penta gets in Punk’s face and pushes him away. They trade shots and chops relentlessly. Penta hits a thrust kick. Punk cuts off his charge with spinning heel kick. A hip toss from Punk before a leg drop for a two-count. Penta picks Punk’s leg for an ankle lock. Punk kicks him awy into the turnbuckle. Punk hits knee in the corner. Penta comes back with a slingnblade. Penta throws Punk to the floor. Punk gets back to avoid the suicide dive and hits one of his own. We cut to a break.

Both men are fighting on the second rope. Punk slips off the second rope and Penta rolls through while coming down. Penta attacks on Punk’s injured knee. Punk comes back with a counter in the corner. He hits a rising knee strike but his knees gives up as he goes for GTS. Punk transitions into Anaconda Vice and Penta reaches the ropes to break it. They trade shots on the apron now.

Both men stop piledrivers on the apron. Punk hits a boot to send Penta back into the ring. Punk springboards with a lariat. He hits another rising knee strike and a short clothesline. Penta blocks the knee on GTS. Penta nails him with an enziguiri. Penta goes for an armbar. Punk counters with a backslide and Penta does the same. Punk scoops him up and hits GTS to get the pin and the win.

Jericho Appreciation Society has arrived at New Orleans in their private plane. Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz are in a car waiting for them. They drop Angelo Parker and Matt Menard from the car and run away.

Jurassic Express(Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus)(c) vs ReDragon(Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) – AEW World Tag Team Championship

Fish starts with Jungle Boy. JB hits a shoulder tackle. He follows with a headscissor and a dropkick. Fish stops him from a tag with a knee. More strikes as Kyle O’Reilly comes in. JB counters and tags in Luchasaurus. Lucha drops both opponents with quick shots. KOR hits a boot to his face before hitting dragon screw leg on the top rope. Fish hits dragon screw leg on the floor.

ReDragon keep control on Luchasaurus with rest holds on his leg. fish hits knees in the corner. Luchasaurus kicks him away. JB tags in and drops Fish. He hits a slam on KOR. He follows with suicide dives on both opponents on the floor. They try to avoid a third one, but Luchasaurus hits them with a dive this time. Fish takes down Lucha on the floor while JB drops him. Fish takes advantage of a distraction to drop JB to the floor.

KOR puts JB in cross arm-breaker. KOR hits knees to the face. JB coutners with an armdrag and tags in Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus drops both opponents and hits back splashes in opposite corner. A German suplex on KOR and big kick on Fish. He hits a double chokeslam on both men. A standing moonsault on KOR gets him a close two-count. KOR drops him on the turnbuckle. Fish and KOR with quick attack on Luchasaurus.

JB tags in and then hit a sideslam/elbow drop on Fish for a near fall. KOR gets a blind tag and hits butterfly suplex and a German suplex on Jungle Boy. KOR puts JB in a cross armbreaker. JB reaches the ropes after a few seconds to stop it. KOR works on the arm by putting JB to the top. Luchasaurus knocks off Fish from the apron. Jurassic Express goes for Doomsday device but Fish stops it. KOR hits avalanche suplex and Luchasaurus breaks the pin.

Luchasaurus and KOR trade strikes now. Jungle Boy hits a superkick on KOR. Fish nails an elbow on JB. KOR hits a kick on JB. Luchasaurus hits him with a big shot. JB drops KOR with a DDT. Jurassic Express hit Jurassic Express finisher on Fish to get the pin.

Winner- Jurassic Express

After the match, Jurassic Express celebrate their win but KOR hits them with chair shots. KOR and Fish leave. FTR comes out to the stage to a loud ovation, possibly to show that they are next in line for title shot.

We get a recap of how Wheeler Yuta joined Blackpool Combat Club last week on Rampage. BCC are interviewed backstage and Regal is happy that the trio will have match together for the first time against The Gunn Club. Bryan says they are fired up as a trio. Jon Moxley calls Gunn Club goofs and will break their faces open. Wheeler says his real work begins on Friday.

After the break, Tony Schiavone is with Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm and announces that they will face off in round one of Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Hayter talks about how both of them are very similar. Storm does not reply and leaves silently.

MJF vs Shawn Dean

MJF comes out but he is having trouble in removing his jacket. Shawn Spears runs an interference on Dean as MJF attacks Dean from behind. MJF beats him down. The jacket comes off easily now and was all a ruse. MJF poses on the second rope. The camera cuts to backstage to see security guards laid out near a loading door. MJF goes to work on Dean and throws him to the floor. MJF poses near the barricade and Wardlow is behind him in a staff shirt.

Wardlow chases MJF but security come out to stop him. Wardlow drop them one by one. He ultimately gets overwhelmed when around 15 men come to contain him. The referee is counting out MJF and has reached 9. MJF takes the mic and tells the referee that he would give him more money than Tony Khan is giving if he does not count him out. Bryce thinks about it but then counts to 10.

Winner- Shawn Dean

After the match, Wardlow is taken to the back. MJF gets into the ring and pushes the referee. Shawn Spears stops him from doing anything more. We cut to backstage where Wardlow has pushed away security. He tells MJF that he will keep attacking him until he releases him from his contract.


Darby Allin gets a black-and-white video package where he challenges Andrade el Idolo for a coffin match.

After the break, we get a vignette form Malakai Black talking about ripping open his throat appreciating a fanbase that loves you and applauds you because the House wanted it so. The House will drag down the brightest part of your soul and kill it, and he wants you to be afraid of the shadows.

Jericho Appreciation Society(Chris Jericho, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia) vs Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz

Santana with early advantage with quick shots. They trade chops and strikes. Santana takes Jericho down with a double leg takedown. Garcia and Hager sweep Ortiz and Kingston off the apron. Jericho tries to bait Santana into an attack by going out but Santana keeps control. Ortiz and Eddie come in for double team attacks on Jericho.

Kingston works on GArcia on the floor. Jericho drops Ortiz. Hager comes in to hit double team back drop on Ortiz. Hager nails Ortiz with big punches. Ortiz kicks at his knee and chops. Ortiz counters a powerbomb but Hager drops him with a slam. Garcia comes in briefly. Jericho hits a backdrop suplex before we cut to a break.

Jericho hits a suplex as we return. Ortiz drops Jericho but Garcia stops the tag. Ortiz fights back and jumps away to tag in Eddie. Eddie teas off on Garcia. Santana comes in and hits three amigos and a frog splash for a near fall. Eddie comes in for machine gun chops. Ortiz hits a leg drop from the second rope. Hager is knocked off the apron from Eddie, who also hits him with a suicide dive.

Ortiz drops Garcia into Jericho. He also hit Parker and Menard with a suicide dive as they come out. Eddie tags in from Santana. He hits half and half suplex on Garcia. A distraction on the referee allows Jericho to nail Kingston with a baseball bat. Garcia rolls Eddie up for the pin and the win.

Winner- Jericho Appreciation Society

After the match, Jericho comes in as JAS beat up all three opponents.

MJF is backstage for an interview and pissed off at the interviewer. Mark Sterling is with them and reads off the contract that MJF holds the right to put him in a match. Butcher is revealed as his opponent next week.

Marina Shafir vs Skye Blue

Shafir starts with some kicks. She puts on a bear hug before dropping Blue to the mat. Jade Cargill is now backstage, but she is not paying attention to the match. Shafir continues to be in control. The Baddies, which also include Red Velvet now, are hooting Shafir. Shafir drops Blue with a pump handle slam. Blue tries to rally but Shafir cuts her off and puts on a submission move for an easy win.

Winner- Marina Shafir

Lexi Nair is backstage for another attempt to get Hook to say something. He does not. Mark Sterling walks in with Tony Nese and asks why no one is trying to talk to the Premium Athlete. Hook intimidates them, and Sterling takes Nese away. Danhausen tries to curse Hook from behind, but Hook just throw his basketball at him and leaves.


Men of the Year are backstage with Dan Lambert. They rant about Sammy Guevara begging to Tony Khan for another title shot. Scorpio says he will now get an a**kicking instead at Battle of the Belts.

Keith Lee & Shane “Swerve” Strickland vs Team Taz(Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs)

Taz runs an interference at the end and Hobbs takes advantage with a spinebuster on Lee to get the pin. More details to be added soon.

The commentary team runs down the card for Rampage this week, Battle of the Belts II and next week’s Dynamite.

We cut to Thunder Rosa being interviewed backstage. Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero come in with a cake. Vickie says they brought in the cake to celebrate Rosa’s shortest title reign. Rosa shouts at them asking if they think she is stupid. They reply in affirmative. Rosa slams the cake on Nyla’s face. Nyla swings and catches Vickie with it. Rosa attacks Nyla but Nyla turns it around and sends her into the production crate.

Minoru Suzuki(c) vs Samoa Joe – ROH Television Championship Match

Both men start with big chops to the chest. They keep on slugging for more than a minute or so. More slaps to the chest. Suzuki starts to no-sell Joe’s shots and hypes the crowd. Suzuki hits more chops before Joe hits machine gun chops of his own. The commentators say that this is chopfest. A big elbow shot from Joe staggers Suzuki.

They trade elbow shots now. Suzuki takes the upper hand with hit shots. Joe hits a big shoulder tackle to drop Suzuki. Suzuki puts on an armbar on the ropes and holds onto it until 4 count. We cut to a break.

Joe hits a powerbomb and holds on for a two-count. Joe puts on crossface before transitioning into another lock. Suzuki gets his legs on the ropes to break it. Suzuki hits back with some kicks for a two-count. They stop each others’ elbow shots. Suzuki goes for a piledriver but Joe avoids it. They trade big chops again. Suzuki puts on a sleeper before Joe hits him with a sideslam.

Joe hits more chops. Suzuki hits him with a dropkick. Suzuki puts on the sleeper before attempting the piledriver. Joe is too big for him though. Joe slams his back into the turnbuckle. An enziguiri follows on the top rope. Joe hits the Muscle Buster for the pin and the win.

Winner- Samoa Joe(wins ROH TV Championship)

After the match, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt come to the ramp to give a special gift to Joe. It was nothing but a middle finger. The lights go out and Satnam Singh is behind Joe when they come back. Satnam runs over Joe with a clothesline. On the floor, he sends Joe into the steel steps as Dutt and Lethal join in the attack. Joe goes to attack Dutt, but Satnam gets him in the vice grip. Joe passes out and his attackers celebrate to close the show.

Jurassic Express vs ReDRagon: AEW Tag-team champions, Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy will put their titles on the line against Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish of the ReDRagon. This comes after ReDragon attacked Christian Cage after his match against Adam Cole. Jurassic Express offered to put their title on the line in order to get the match against ReDragon.

Minoru Suzuki vs Samoa Joe: After making an anticipated debut last week, Samoa Joe will now challenge Minoru Suzuki for the ROH World TV Championship this week on Dynamite. 

Jericho Appreciation Society vs Santana, Ortiz & Eddie Kingston: Last week, the trio of Ortiz, Santana & Kingston attacked Chris Jericho’s stable. They later challenged Jericho, Jake Hager & Daniel Garcia for a six-man tag match and the latter accepted the challenge.

Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks: After weeks of brawling, Keith Lee will join forces with Swerve Strickland to take on the team of Hobbs and Ricky Starks in tag-team action

MJF vs Shawn Dean: MJF who is currently feuding with his former ally Wardlow, will face Shawn Dean in a single match this week on Dynamite. This match comes after Dean defeated Shawn Spears last week on Dynamite.

CM Punk vs Penta: CM Punk will take on Penta Oscura in a singles match as Punk continues his climb towards the World title.

Marina Shafir vs Skye Blue: Before she faces TBS Champion Jade Cargill, Marina Shafir will showcase herself against Skye Blue.
