AEW Collision December 23: Women’s Tag Team Bout & Trios Title Match Set

AEW has announced two matches for December 23, 2023, Holiday Bash special episode of AEW Collision, including AEW Trios championship match and Tag team match.

Thunder Rosa and Abadon are scheduled to compete against Julia Hart and Skye Blue in a tag team match. In the latest episode of AEW Collision on December 16, Abadon secured a victory over Jasmin Allure.

After the match, Abadon called out Julia and she appeared after lights went out. Abadon took upperhand in the resulting brawl but Skye Blue came out to aid Hart. As Abadon found herself alone against Hart and Blue, Rosa unexpectedly intervened, rising from the Spanish announcement table to get involved in the situation.

This marked Rosa’s return to in-ring competition after being sidelined due to a back injury since August 2022. Following her injury, Rosa had to vacate the AEW Women’s World Championship. Subsequently, she took on a role as part of the Spanish commentary team for AEW shows in the past few months.

AEW Trios Championship match is also set for December 23 episode of AEW Collision where The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn will face Top Flight (Darius Martin and Dante Martin) and Action Andretti.

On December 16 episode of AEW Collision, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn, made their return. They declared their intention to embark on a “search and destroy” mission to uncover the identity of those responsible for attacking them. On November 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn were attacked by individuals identified as the Devil and his associates.

Top Flight (Darius Martin and Dante Martin) along with Action Andretti stepped into the scene, denying any involvement in the attack on the Trios Champions. They also asserted that their consistent wins during the champions’ absence warranted a title shot. A match between the teams was also announced.

On top of this, the final league matches from Continental Classic 2023 Blue League are also set to take place on the show. Andrade El Idolo vs Eddie Kingston, Bryan Danielson vs Claudio Castagnoli and Daniel Garcia vs Brody King are the matches from the tournament.

December 23, 2023, episode of AEW Collision will be live from Frost Bank Center, San Antonio, TX, US. Below is the announced line-up for the show:
