Stephen Thompson vs Michel Pereira Set for UFC 289 in June
A new welterweight bout has been added to the UFC 289 PPV event in June 2023.
According to the latest reports, Stephen Thompson will fight against Michel Pereira in a welterweight bout on June 10, 2023, at UFC 289.
MMA Sucka was the first one to report this bout which was later confirmed by several other sources as well.
Stephen Thompson recently snapped his two fights losing streak with a win against Kevin Holland via fourth-round TKO. Before that, he lost against Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns via unanimous decision.
On the other hand, Michel Pereira is on a five fights winning streak. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Santiago Ponzinibbio. Before that, he defeated opponents like Andre Fialho, Niko Price. Khaos Williams, and Zelim Imadaev.
The promotion is yet to announce the location, venue, and main event of the UFC 289 PPV event.
