Kayla Harrison has signed with UFC and will be on the UFC 300 PPV card.

UFC President Dana White took to social media to announce that Holly Holm will be fighting at UFC 300. White then announced that UFC has signed Kayla Harrison who will face Holm at UFC 300 PPV. Check here for the complete card for UFC 300 here.

Harrison is a 2-time Judo Olympics Gold Medalist has been competing in MMA since making her debut with PFL in 2018. She is a 2-time PFL Women’s Lightweight World Champion in 2019 and 2021 seasons.

Harrison remained unbeaten in her first 14 MMA bouts in PFL and suffered her first loss to Larrisa Pachecho in the lightweight final of PFL season 2022. She was set for her first featherweight bout at PFL World Championship 2023 event, but the bout was changed to 150 lbs catchweight when her opponent was changed on short notice.

While she has fought at lightweight almost throughout her career so far, Harrison will be fighting in a bantamweight bout in her first UFC bout against Holm.

Holm, Boxing Hall of Famer and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion herself, is coming off a loss turned into a no-contest in her last fight. Holm fought Mayra Bueno Silva in the headliner of UFC Vegas 77 Fight Night and lost via submission. The result was turned into a no-contest when Bueno Silva was found positive in a pre-fight drug test.

UFC 300 is set to take place on April 13, 2024, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The card is expected to be the one of the best ever put out by UFC is set to feature BMF title bout between Justin Gaethje and Max Halloway among several high profile bouts. Keep tuned in for the updates.
