Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor revealed when he would be returning inside the octagon with a countdown.

The Notorious One and the former two-division UFC Champion Conor McGregor revealed that he would face Michael Chandler at the UFC 296 PPV event on December 13, 2023.

If true, McGregor will make his return after more than two years with this fight. He revealed this news himself by sharing a tweet which you can see below.

Earlier this year in February, it was announced that McGregor and Chandler would serve as coaches in The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 and an after-season fight was also confirmed.

Conor McGregor is coming off two back-to-back losses against Dustin Poirier. McGregor twisted his ankle at UFC 264 in the trilogy bout against Poirier and has been out of action since then. He won his last match back in 2020 against Donald Cerrone.

On the other hand, Michael Chandler is also coming off a loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 in November 2022. His most recent win came against Tony Ferguson in May 2022.

Now it remains to be seen whether McGregor will be able to make any impact in his returning match at UFC 296.
