Rhea Ripley and Candice LeRae battled against numbers disadvantage but still came out on the winning side against the team of Shayna Baszler in the first-ever WarGames match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019.

Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim were supposed to take on Shayna Baszler, Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai, and Bianca Belair in the WarGames match last night. However, even before the show started, Mia Yim was attacked backstage and was removed from the match. Dakota Kai replaced her in the match.

The action started with Io Shirai and Candice LeRae, and the two traded blows quite a bit as the only two competitors in the ring. She was quickly outnumbered by Belair and Shirai, but Ripley evened the odds with a host of weapons. Things got crazy after that as Dakota Kai turned on Tegan Nox and ended up leaving the team shorthanded.

But somehow, by using so many props actually, Rhea Ripley and Candice LeRae were able to find ways to battle against the four opponents. And finally, after a host of big moments, they were able to pull out the win. And more importantly, Rhea Ripley pinned Shayna Baszler to get that win.

Rhea Ripley will lead the NXT women’s team for Survivor Series tag team elimination match.
