Cody Rhodes to face Sammy Guevara on AEW TV Debut
Cody Rhodes revealed on Twitter today that his opponent on the debut episode of AEW’s weekly TV show on TNT on 2 October 2019 will be Sammy Guevara.
Currently unnamed, the AEW’s weekly TV show will start from 2 October this year. The show will air every Wednesday from 8 PM to 10 PM ET time slot on TNT. The first show will air from Capital One Arena in Washington DC. The tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, 2nd August at 12 PM ET.
Earlier in the week, Cody teased that he will contest in the first match at AEW TV debut. His opponent was announced over Twitter and it was none other than Sammy Guevara. Guevara was earlier part of the first singles match at AEW at the ‘Buy In’ pre-show of Double or Nothing. Later, he was also part of the 6-man tag team match at Fight for the Fallen.
Prior to signing with AEW, Guevara has made appearances in the National Wrestling Alliance, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Major League Wrestling. Guevara also is currently signed with Lucha Libre AAA World Wide.
