Beth Pheonix wins in her return match at RAW
At RAW last night, Beth Pheonix stole the show in her return tag team match among the Women’s Tag Team Competitors from WrestleMania.
Beth Pheonix teamed up with Natalya, Sasha Banks and Bayley against Nia Jax, Tamina and the IIconics- Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. As the 4-women tag teams were actually the competitors from the WrestleMania match, some natural tension and a lack of cohesion were clearly seen during the match. Sasha and Royce started the match with Sasha and team keeping control over the IIconics duo as Nia and Tamina refused to be tagged in during the match.
The IIconics combined later to keep Bayley in control in their corner for some time. As Bayley countered with a stunner and was about to tag Sasha, Pheonix took the tag instead and went on to destroy Peyton. Tamina tried to trip her from the ringside which resulted in Beth sending her through the barricade with a spear. As Peyton brought her back to the ring, Pheonix hit her with the Glam Slam to get the win.
Beth Pheonix is coming out of retirement for Women’s Tag Team Championship Match at WrestleMania where she will reunite with ‘the Divas of the Doom’ partner Natalya to take on the champions Sasha Banks and Bayley, Nia Jax and Tamina and the IIconics- Billie Kay and Peyton Royce in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match.
