WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Updated Match Card: Roman’s Opponent Revealed
The match card for WWE Royal Rumble 2024 event will feature Universal Championship and United States Championship match apart from two Royal Rumble matches.
The event will feature two namesake matches in men’s and women’s Royal Rumble. And just like every year, the winners of these matches will go on to challenge for World title at WrestleMania 40. Participants for these Battle Royals have started to be announced.
While men’s match has big stars announced in Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Lashley, the women’s match will feature Bayley, Becky Lynch and Nia Jax among others.

It is also confirmed that “The Tribal Cheif” Roman Reigns will defend Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the event. A triple threat match took place at Smackdown New Year’s Revolution on January 5 to determine Reigns’ next challenger. Randy Orton, AJ Styles and LA Knight clashed in this match, but Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso attacked them to cause a no-contest.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then revealed that Roman would have to defend the title in a fatal 4-way match.
Kevin Owens won the United States Championship Top Contender tournament to earn a shot at the title. He will challenge the champion Logan Paul at Royal Rumble 2024 now.
With Royal Rumble taking place on January 27, 2023, the updated match card for the show is as below:

- Roman Reigns(c) vs Randy Orton vs LA Knight vs AJ Styles – Fatal 4-Way match for Undisputed Universal Championship
- Logan Paul(c) vs Kevin Owens – WWE United States Championship
