WWE Releases Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Mustafa Ali & Others

WWE has unexpectedly released several notable individuals on September 21, 2023. Below is the list of the superstars who were let go from WWE.
Mustafa Ali was the initial talent to share the news, as he used social media on September 21 to announce his departure from the company. Ali was also set to face Dominik Mysterio for NXT North American title but Dragon Lee is now set to face Dominik on September 25 episode of RAW.

Emma also used social media to announce her release on September 21. After making her WWE return in the autumn of 2022, Emma participated in several solo matches across SmackDown, Main Event, and Raw. Her final match for the company took place on the July 10 episode of Raw, where she was defeated by Shayna Baszler.

Rick Boogs, whose real name is Eric Bugenhagen, has also been released from WWE. He initially joined the company in 2017 as part of the NXT brand. Boog’s final WWE match took place at the SummerSlam pay-per-view, where he participated in the Slim Jim Battle Royale.
Aliyah also made her release public on social media. Aliyah’s final WWE match took place on the September 12, 2022, episode of WWE Raw, where she and Raquel Rodriguez lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Dakota Kai).

Elias has also been let go by WWE. He began his WWE journey in 2014 as a member of the NXT roster. His last appearance was in a Battle Royal on the May 15, 2023, episode of Monday Night Raw.

AJ “Top Dolla” Francis’ departure from WWE was first verified by Frightful Select. His final television appearance was a loss to LA Knight on the August 11 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Riddick Moss has also been let go by WWE. Moss began his WWE journey in 2014. He was promoted to the main roster in 2019 and quickly captured the WWE 24/7 Title. His final appearance within the promotion was on the September 11 episode of WWE Main Event, where he was defeated by Bronson Reed.

Shelton Benjamin has also been released by WWE. Throughout his wrestling career, Shelton Benjamin has previously held the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship.

Dolph Ziggler, a surprising departure, has also been released from WWE. Over the course of his career, Ziggler achieved significant success, including holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship along with multiple Intercontinental and United States Championship reigns.
