Welcome to ITNWWE’s live coverage for WWE RAW October 9, 2023 episode which will be airing from CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE.

The show has 3 matches announced. Becky Lynch will defend NXT Women’s Championship against Tegan Nox. Kofi Kingston takes on Ivar in a Viking Rules match. Two powerhouses of the women’s division will clash as Nia Jax takes on Raquel Rodriguez.

Other than this, we will know what is next for World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. How will Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso’s tag team title reign start? The build-up for Crown Jewel 2023 event is also expected to start,

Seth Rollins has a Target on his Back!

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins comes out. Seth talks about his successful title defense, but says he still has an injured back. The crowd starts to chant, “Thank You, Rollins”. But Rollins suddenly changes subject and says he will continue to be the champion though. But, he wants to go one night without defending the title where they can just celebrate, sign his song and have a few cold ones.

Drew McIntyre’s music hits and he comes out. Drew comes in and just stands in the middle of the ring opposite Rollins. Rollins says Drew is not here to celebrate. Drew nods. Rollins says he wants the title world title match. Drew nods again. Rollins says he just wanted to have one night off. Drew intervenes and tells Rollins that he wants Rollins at 100% and proposes match at Crown Jewel. Rollins is a bit confused and confirms it with Drew that he does not want the match tonight. Rollins then agrees to the match after hyping the crowd a bit.

Drew leaves the ring and Rollins gets the crowd singing his song again. Damian Priest attacks Rollins from behind. Drew is still on the apron but does not come to Rollins’ aid. Priest hits a chokeslam on Rollins in the ring. Dominik Mysterio runs out with MITB breifcase and a referee. Drew blocks him on the ramp and drops him with a headbutt. He throws MITB briefcase away. Priest is screaming at Drew. Rollins recovers and clotheslines Priest out of the ring to close the segment.

Kofi Kingston vs Ivar(w/ Valhalla) – Viking Rules Match

Ivar starts with a big kick. Kofi jumps off the corner with a crossbody. He uses a low bridge to send Ivar to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Ivar recovers and sends Kofi into the shields set up on the apron. Kofi slips and jumps off the steel steps. Ivar slams him on the apron and hits a splash over it. Kofi pushes him off the apron and dives on him to take us to a break.

Kofi hits a Russian Leg Sweep from the top rope using a Vikings flag. Ivar fights back but Kofi ducks several shots and sends Ivar’s face into a shield. Kofi hits SOS for a near fall. Ivar hits a spinning body slam to get a two-count himself. Ivar hits a double underhook powerbomb to get another two-count. Kofi ducks a shot but Ivar hits him with a spinning heel kick. Ivar goes to the top rope. Kofi hits him with a shield and then throws him off the top and into a table set up on the floor.

Valhalla attacks Kofi and stops him from a pin. Xavier Woods also runs out. Valhalla scares him and Ivar attacks him from behind with a crossbody against the barricade. Kofi hits a superkick from behind. Ivar blocks Trouble in Paradise after they get into the ring. Ivar picks up Kofi and smashes him through a table in the corner. Ivar goes to the top and hits a moonsault to get the pinfall.

Winner – Ivar

Shinsuke Nakamura is interviewed backstage and asked about felling short of winning the title match at Fastlane. Nakamura just hods. Ricochet attacks him to start a brawl after being angry about attacks from Nakamura in the last few weeks. The crew seperates them. Ricochet is livid though.


Damian Priest is choking out JD McDonagh in anger over his interference leading to title loss at Fastlane. Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor come in and pull them apart. Balor agrees that McDonagh’s action has created problems for them. Balor tells Priest that he talked to Adam Pearce for a tag title rematch next week on RAW. Rhea gets in JD’s face and tells him to take care of Drew McIntyre tonight. Rhea then leaves saying that she has got her own matters to deal with.

Nia Jax vs Raquel Rodriguez

Nia starts with a Thesz Press to start the match. Nia throws Raquel around for a while. Raquel starts to fight back with quick shots. Nia hits a headbutt and then throws Raquel into the ring post. Raquel lands on the floor. Nia throws Raquel around at ringside before throwing her into the barricade. We cut to a break.

Nia hits a side slam as we return. She hits an elbow drop before putting on a cross arm choke. Raquel gets to her feet and tries to hit clotheslines. Nia does not go down. Raquel then hits a big boot to drop Nia. Raquel tries to get Nia on her shoulder, but Nia is too heavy and she drops Raquel with a kick. Nia hits a Samoan Drop. She gets to the second rope. Raquel picks her up from the ropes and hits a powerbomb. Raquel is also down though and can’t recover to make a cover. Rhea Ripley runs out and throws Raquel out of the ring to cause a DQ.

Rhea hits several kicks on Nia to drop her. Raquel comes back to attack Rhea. Rhea drops her with a headbutt. Shanya Baszler runs out and attacks Nia. Rhea pulls her away and argues with her. Nia slips to the floor. Shanya hits Rhea with a German suplex.

Winner – Raquel Rodriguez(via disqualification)

Seth Rollins goes to Drew McIntyre and tells him that Adam Pearce has made the match official. Rollins then asks Drew what is his problem as he did not stop the attack on him, but stopped the MITB cash-in. Drew says he did not want Judgment Day to get the World title just like Roman Reigns and The Bloodline did on SmackDown. Rollins says he need not worry about it as Judgment Day could not take the title from him, and neither will Drew.


Shanya Baszler is interviewed backstage. She says she does not care whoever it is, but they can’t get away with a sneak attack on her in her ring. Shayna leaves. Akira Tozawa gets out of her way in fear.

The Tag Champs!

Michael Cole is in the ring. He brings out “Main Event” Jey Uso and then Cody Rhodes. Cody & Jey stand in the ring and Cole asks them how does it feel being the champ. Jey hypes being 2-time undisputed tag team champions and his partner being Cody. Cole asks Cody where does this massive responsibility about bringing back Jey mean for his original goal upon his return to WWE. Cole asks will Cody continue to defend the tag titles or go after singles title. Cody hypes about being the tag team champion.

Cole then brings up how Cody won the Royal Rumble and came very close to winning the World title at WrestleMania, just like his Dad did. Cole asks if that is going to Cody’s story also? Before Cody can answer Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens’ music hits and they come out to the ring. Sami says he wants to talk about a different story for now- the story of The Usos holding the tag team titles for longer than anyone, and the story of Sami and Owens beating them for them. Sami then hypes how Cody and Jey have now beaten Judgment Day to win the titles. Sami is here to congratulate them for this big win.

But… Sami says this is the part where it gets complicated. He can’t help but feel that it should be them holding the tag titles. Owens says he does not have mixed emotions and wants those titles back. He wants to look them in eyes right now and challenge them for a title match tonight. But, he knows they won’t accept as Jey would not want to lose the titles to them twice. Jey gets enraged but Cody holds him back. Cody says they accept the title match, and it will be tonight. Sami and Owens leave the ring after a brief face-off.


Otis is hitting Chad Gable with chops as Gable is preparing for #1 contender match tonight and wants his body in tip-top condition for Gunther. Bronson Reed comes in and tells him not to get his hopes up as he has already beaten him and his number 1 guy Otis already. Gable gets angry and starts his training again after Reed leaves.


We cut to Ricochet’s entrance but he is down on the stage after an attack from Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura continues to beat him up. The crew runs out and takes Nakamura back. Ricochet is held up by one of the crew members.

Ricochet vs Bronson Reed vs Chad Gable – #1 Contender for WWE Intercontinental Championship

Reed starts with shots on both opponents. Gable tries to counter but Reed keeps control. Gable and Ricochet try to double up against him. Reed pulls them and throws him to the floor. Ricochet attacks him when he comes out. Gable hits a German suplex on Ricochet on top of Reed to take us to a break.

Reed hits a chop on Gable on the top rope. Gable gets Reed in an armbar on the ropes. Ricochet attacks him from behind, but Reed gets out of the way and he runs into Gable. Reed pulls both of them in fireman’s carry and hits a death valley driver to get a two-count. Ricochet hits a missile dropkick to send Reed to the floor. Gable and Ricochet go back and forth in the ring. Ricochet hits a big splash and a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

Gable goes for a superplex but Ricochet lands on his feet. Reed takes them both out again. He hits Tsunami splash on Ricochet to get the pinfall. His match against Gunther is announced for next week.

Winner – Bronson Reed

Jackie Redmond interviews NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch backstage. Becky plugs in her new memoir before moving on to talk about tonight being the biggest opportunity in Tegan Nox’s career. As she is leaving, Xia Li comes in to ask her when will her turn come. Becky says she is not hard to find.

Ricochet vs Bronson Reed vs Chad Gable – #1 Contender for WWE Intercontinental Championship

They lock up and Drew corners JD. JD ducks him in the corner and hits some chops. Drew gets angry and chases him around the ring. Drew hits a back body drop, throwing JD high up in the air. He hits another back drop before a neckbreaker. Drew gets ready for a Claymore but Dominik runs an interference. JD hits a chop block. Drew pushes him away but JD hits another chop block again quickly.

Drew hits a clothesline to drop him when he gets to the floor. JD is thrown into the ring. Dominik pushes Drew into the ring post. JD hits a running kick from the apron. He takes Drew back into the ring and hits a splash from the top rope for a two-count. Dominik pulls his leg but Drew kicks him away into the announce table. Drew drops JD again and hits Claymore kick to get the pinfall.

Winner – Drew McIntyre

Damian Priest and Ripley are watching the match backstage. Ripley tells Priest that before he does anything to JD, she has got an idea.


We see a recap of Johnny Gargano saving Tomasso Ciampa last week from Imperium. They are now being interviewed by Wade Barrett in the locker room. They talk about their run in NXT. The fans made them undeniable in NXT…. They always wonder where can they take this…. This might finally be their moment…. Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci attack them out of nowhere and beat them up for a while.


We get a video package for Tegan Nox. She is now interviewed at Gorilla Position. She says she is making sure Becky Lynch faces the best version of Tegan Nox because this is not only a title match for her but to show everyone what Tegan Nox is. Natalya comes in and tells her that she is proud of her. She hugs Tegan before she makes her entrance.


Ricochet is searching for Shinsuke Nakamura backstage but Adam Pearce comes in and tells him not to brawl backstage, and if he wants a match, he can have it next week.

Becky Lynch(c) vs Tegan Nox – NXT Women’s Championship

Back and forth start of the match. Becky rolls her up in an inside cradle for a two-count. Tegan counters it for a two-count herself. Tegan gets her down to the mat with a side headlock. Tegan hits a shoulder tackle. Becky’s armdrag gets blocked. A number of pin attempts and counters. Becky hits deep armdrags. Becky slams her face into the corner a few times. Tegan blocks a kick off the ropes and hits a kick on Becky’s injured arm.

Tegan then slams Becky’s face into the corner. Tegan hits running uppercuts in the corner before a snapmare takedown and a shot at the back. Becky hits uppercuts and a back heel kick. Tegan drops her face on the ropes. Becky hits a springboard kick to knock Tegan off the top rope and onto the floor. Tegan avoids a jump off the apron and sends Becky’s face into the barricade. She hits a dive off the apron. She gets a two-count as we cut to a break.

Becky is rallying as we return. She hits quick kicks before a flying shoulder tackle. She hits a bexploder suplex to get a two-count. Tegan catches her leg and trips her. Tegan hits a crossbody from the top rope to get a two-count. Becky hits a DDT and quickly puts on the disarmher. Becky rolls her over and puts more pressure. Tegan sends Becky into the corner, slamming her head into the turnbuckle. Tegan hits a kick and gets to the top rope. Becky meets her on the top rope.

Tegan slips out and trips Becky. She hits a running tackle in the corner to get a two-count. Tegan puts on the disarmher on Becky. Becky gets out of it quickly. Tegan blocks the Manhandle slam but Becky batters her with some kicks. She hits a missile dropkick to get a two-count. Tegan comes back with a fallaway slam bridge to get a near fall. More back and forth action. Tegan tries to counter the disarmher with a roll-up but Becky then turns it into a disarmher again to get a submission.

Winner – Becky Lynch

Becky gives a fist bump to Tegan after the match.


Adam Pearce is giving an update to Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell about Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa. Rhea Ripley barges in and wants to talk to Pearce. She tells Peace that she wants to get her division in order and wants Shanya Baszler one-on-one next week.


Tegan Nox is sitting backstage holding her damaged arm. Natalya comes in and gives her props. Tegan gets mad saying she lost. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter also come in and try to cheer her up. Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven come in. Green tells Natalya not to get involved in her matter. Natalya asks or else. Green waits for a while before Piper Niven stands up for her partner. Natalya and Piper agree to a match next week.


Backstage, Drew McIntyre tells Jey Uso that he has his eyes on him still. Sami Zayn comes in to defend Jey. Drew leaves. Sami and Jey chat up a bit but come to conclusion that they are opponents tonight.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso(c) vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn – Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

Cody and Sami start with some back and forth. They trade chops in the corner which enrages both men. Owens and Jey also get into the ring. The referee keeps them separate though and we cut to a break.

Sami hits an elbow from the second rope. Cody corners him and tags in Jey. Jey and Sami face off before engaging. Sami leap frogs and hits a kick. Jey fires an uppercut. Owens tags in. They get to the corner and starts a hockey fight. They rolls out of the ring but continue to brawl. Cody and Sami try to separate them but things get heated up between them as well. The referee has to intervene to break them up. Owens hits a punch on Jey as he gets into the ring. Owens takes Jey over the announce table as he continues to unload. Sami and Cody also start to fight once again. We cut to a break.

Owens is in control against Jey. He hits some kicks to ground Jey. KO gets to the top rope but Jey hits an enzuigiri. KO fights him to drop him back to the mat. KO hits a Swanton bomb for a two-count. They trade two superkicks each before Owens hits clothesline and both men are down. Tags to Cody and Sami. Cody hits clotheslines before a flying tackle. He hits a snap powerslam and Cody Cutter to get a near fall. Sami hits a knee to block Crossrhodes.

Cody blocks Blue thunderbomb once but Sami hits it in the second attempt. Sami hits an exploder suplex and gets ready for Helluva kick but Cody hits Crossrhodes. KO breaks the pinfall. Jey and KO are back on the apron waiting for tags. Sami and Cody trade punches. Sami hits a back body drop to block a pedigree. Jey and KO get the tags. They trade shits before KO hits a couple of superkicks. Jey hits one back to get a two-count.

Quick counters before KO hits a stunner. Cody breaks the pinfall this time. Sami also gets in the ring. Jey unleashes a barrage of superkicks on both opponents. Cody hits a Crossrhodes on Sami. Jey and Cody hit a double superkick on KO before hitting Cody 1D finisher to get the pinfall.

Winner – Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso

The commentary team takes us through the match card for next week. Cody and Jey are celebrating in the ring. Owens and Sami get into the ring again. KO finally gives into Jey and hugs him. The show goes off the air with all 4 men standing tall.
