WWE RAW October 2, 2023 episode was live from SAP Center in San Jose, CA, and this is the live coverage page from ITNWWE for the same show.

WWE had revealed 4 matches and 2 segments for the show so far which included Drew McIntyre’s return to The Miz TV. The other segment was a contract signing segment for the Intercontinental Championship match between Gunther and Tomasso Ciampa, which led to a title match in the main event.

The episode also acted as the go-home episode for Fastlane 2023 PLE. Ivar and Xavier Woods continued the rivalry between The Viking Raiders and New Day. Nia Jax took on Shanya Baszler from the women’s division. Jey Uso Tune in below for the complete results from WWE Monday Night RAW October 2, 2023 episode.

LIVE UPDATES

Women Brawl!

The show opens with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler fighting at the top of the entrance ramp. They reach the ring while they continue to brawl. Nia gets in control. Raquel Rodriguez’s music hits and she comes to fight Nia, but Nia beats her down. Rhea Ripley’s music hits and she also runs out. Rhea beats up before Baszler and Raquel also engage. The security runs out but Rhea take them out with Riptides.

Judgment Day Business!

As things settle, Rhea stays back in the ring and gets on the mic. She says she is not leaving the ring because she has got some Judgment Day business to deal with. Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest come out as we cut to a break.

After the break, Rhea says she was gone for the last two weeks after being taken out by Nia. Judgment Day does not have a leader but someone has to make plans. She left that responsibility to Damian Priest, but he has failed. Finn Balor got injured last week, Dominik lost North American title, and Priest himself is unable to compete. Priest says screw Cody, Jey, Owens and Sami. He adds that he has both his title and MITB briefcase. He asks them where is Dominik’s title. Rhea tells Dominik that he has a rematch against Trick Williams, but if he does not win the title, he should not bother coming home.

Jey Uso comes out and welcomes Rhea back. He says Rhea was missed and there is a new tribal cheif on Monday Night who has bigger balls than Roman Reigns. Priest says he is tired of Jey now. He tries to get in Jey’s face but Dominik stops him and tells him that since Priest is not cleared, he will take care of Jey for Mami. Priest sarcastically agrees. Rhea and Priest get out of the ring. Dominik and Jey face off before Jey nails a superkick. JD McDonagh attacks Jey from behind. They double up on Jey.

Cody Rhodes’ music hits and he runs out. Jey nails a superkick on McDonagh while Cody hits jabs at Dominik before dropping him with a Crossrhodes. Adam Pearce comes out to the stage and tells Judgment Day that they have caused enough chaos for one night. He announces that they will take care of things at Fastlane where Cody & Jey will challenge Balor and Priest for tag team titles.

Alpha Academy(Chad Gable & Otis) vs Imperium(Giovanni Vinci & Ludwig Kaiser)

Kaiser and Gable start the match. Kaiser pushes Gable to his corner. Gable hits a standing Spanish fly. Kaiser hits a big shoulder tackle to drop Gable. Gable uses his quickness to counter an armbar and drops him with leg trip. Kaiser kicks him down. Vinci comes in and hits kicks to the corner. Gable fights back off the ropes. Vinci takes him to his corner. Gable knocks off Kaiser before hitting a Northern Lights suplex. Gable gets to the top rope but Kaiser pulls Vinci out. Otis then sends Gable into Kaiser and Vinci on the floor. We cut to a break.

Kaiser is in control against Gable. Gable is trying to fight back. Kaiser hits an uppercut to knock him out of the ring. Vinci sets Gable on the apron and Kaiser hits a basement drop kick to send him to the floor again. Vinci tags in and hits uppercuts. Gable counters an uppercut with a backslide. Vinci drops him with a clothesline. Kaiser tags back in and puts on a chinlock. Gable hits a German suplex and tags in Otis.

Otis ducks Kaiser’s shots and hits a lariat. He throws Kaiser across before he hits a splash in the corner. Vinci goes for crossbody and Otis catches him to hit a fallaway slam. Otis hits a caterpillar elbow drop on Kaiser. Otis gets to the top rope with Kaiser. Vinci pulls Otis’ leg and he ends up tripping to the floor. Gable hits a senton on Vinci on the floor but Kaiser gets the pinfall in the ring in that time.

Winners – Imperium

We see a recap of Becky Lynch beating Tiffany Stratton in the main event of NXT No Mercy. We get a confirmation that Becky has suffered a laceration and her match tonight is called off. Tegan Nox is backstage with Adam Pearce when Chelsea Green comes in. Chelsea tells Tegan to suck it as she would be happy to not face Becky just to lose. Chelsea says not everybody is championship material. Tegan tells Pearce to book her against Chelsea. Pearce finds it a good idea and makes it official. Green says she will complain to management and leaves while throwing her hair in Tegan’s face.

Bronson Reed vs Cedric Alexander

Cedric rushes Reed in the corner with quick shots. Reed pushes him away. Reed misses in the corner and Cedric hits a dropkick to force Reed to the floor. Cedric hits a trio of suicide dives on the floor. Reed hits a back elbow before Cedric gets into the ring. Reed hits a clothesline as Cedric attempts a springboard tackle. Cedric hits a handspring kick to the face to get a two-count. Reed decks him on the top rope. Reed hits a crossbody to drop him. Reed follows up with a senton and Tsunami to get the pinfall.

Winner – Imperium

Drew McIntyre is backstage with Adam Pearce and tells him that he will not do Miz TV tonight as he did it last week already. Pearce says it was The Miz who requested it as he wanted to give Drew an open forum. Hearing this, Drew says he will do the segment then and speak his mind, but warns Miz not to get into his things. Pearce asks Drew if he is ok as he looks off. Drew tells him that it’s all ok.

Contract Signing with Gunther & Tomasso Ciampa

Adam Pearce is out in the ring which has a table set up for contract signing. He brings out Tomasso Ciampa and the champion Gunther. Pearce asks them to sign one by one. Ciampa goes to sign first but he gets into a rant about Gunther. Ciampa says he will fight for Intercontinental title next week and will win the title. Next week, he will fight for his dream, not for his family but himself. Ciampa signs the contract.

Gunther says this is the biggest moment on Ciampa’s career but why did he dress in a t-shirt and jeans for it. He adds that Ciampa is telling him everything he needs to know already and talks about being the greatest and longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time. Ciampa hypes up and tells Gunther if he sounds so confident, why not have the match tonight itself. Gunther asks Pearce to change it and make the match official for tonight. says they can always change it so the match is tonight. Pearce makes it official for tonight. Gunther decks Ciampa to start a brawl which ends the segment.


Damian Priest is angry about the title defense as he talks with other Judgment Day members. JD McDonagh comes in and Priest yells at him. Ripley tells him to listen to JD as he might have something. They talk about dividing and conquering. Priest likes the idea but wants time to think on it. Priest walks away.

Ivar vs Xavier Woods

Woods starts with a dropkick in the corner. He hits a knee strike and a few chops before Ivar starts to fight back. Ivar hits a senton and a suplex. Another senton from Ivar. Woods nails him with a kick and hits a clothesline to send him out of the ring. Ivar catches his dive and drives him into the ring apron. Woods avoids a crossbody against the barricade and hits a dropkick on the barricade to take us to a break.

After from the break, Ivar is in control of the match. Woods lands a few chops as he starts to fight back. Some forearm shots and kicks follow up. Woods gets Ivar up on his shoulders but Ivar drops on him. Ivar ascends to the top. Woods looks to pick him up for a powerbomb but Ivar sits out on him. climbs back up to the top. Ivar goes a splash, but Woods dodges it rolls up Ivar for a two-count. Woods gets him into a small package to get the pinfall.

Winner – Xavier Woods

Ivar starts to beat up Woods after the match. Kofi Kingston, who was on the commentary during the match, jumps on him from the top. Ivar quickly counters him and drops him. Ivar hits a powerbomb on Kofi to drop him on top on Woods. He hits a splash form the top rope on both of them.

Seth Rollins Interviewed

Michael Cole is in the ring and he brings out World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Rollins gives props to Michael Cole as the voice of WWE. Rollins says he has got what he wanted as Nakamura has given him the rematch. Cole asks Rollins what is he doing. He asks if Rollins understands what is gonna happen in last man standing match where everything is legal, and only rule is to keep the man down not to answer 10 count. Cole asks Rollins why is he putting himself through it.

Rollins asks Cole for how long has he been on the commentary and how many show has he missed. It’s 26 years and 2 shows missed. Rollins says Cole is addicted to this job and it’s a compulsion for him. Rollins says it is the same thing with him. Rollins says he has achieved everything here, met his wife and had a daughter. So, if things are taking him towards a last man standing match, he would gladly do it even if his back gives out and it turns out to be his last match. He would gladly leave it all in the ring.

Shinsuke Nakamura appears on the big screen with a pre-taped video and tells Rollins that he is tired of his non-sense. As Rollins watches the screen, Nakamura attacks Rollins from behind. Nakamura on screen starts the countdown. Rollins gets up at 7 and Nakamura hits him with a steel chair. Rollins goes down and the countdown starts again. Rollins gets up again and Nakamura drops him with a backbreaker on the chair before hitting kinshasa. This time, the countdown comes from Nakamura in person in the ring.

Chelsea Green vs Tegan Nox

Chelsea starts with a big shot. She keeps control for a while with Piper on the apron. Tegan decks Chelsea. Chelsea hits a big kick to knock her to the floor. Chelsea asks Piper to attack Tegan but she gets late. Tegan avoids a basement slide and starts to beat up Chelsea. Piper gets on the steps as Tegan goes to the top rope, but the referee stops her intervention. Natalya’s music hits and she comes out. Chelsea hits a punch on Tegan on the top rope. Natalya tries to confront Piper. Chelsea looks for a superplex but Tegan fights back and drops her to the mat. Tegan hits the Shiniest Wizard to get the pinfall.

Winner – Tegan Nox

After the match, Natalya gets into the ring to raise Tegan’s hands.


Byron Saxton interviews Jey Uso backstage and asks where his head is at. Jey says Cody brought him to RAW for something new. He is good to take on Judgment Day anytime anywhere.

Drew McIntyre & The Miz

Drew says everyone is asking him what is going on in his head, but the only people he needs to answer is his fans. He brings up going through up and downs throughout his career, and got involved in other’s matters, but not anymore. He calls hypocrisy on the locker room for not coming out to make the save and expecting him to do it. Drew says everyone needs to stand up for themselves here.

Miz’s music hits and he comes out. Miz tells him that he is not forgiving Drew for his behavior last week. Miz says he had 10,000 people chanting “Shut Up, Miz”. Drew tells him to shut up. Drew says Miz wants him to attack Seth Rollins and take the title from him, but that’s not how operates. He will not cost Jey the match at Fastlane. He asks Miz to have a match right away. Miz says they are not dressed for a match. Miz says this Drew is a good drew but if someone beats him in next hour, he will turn into bad Drew, the real Drew.

Miz says Drew is not the Batman of WWE, but Two Face of WWE. Drew removes his skirt to get ready for action, but Miz tells him to stop. Miz says he is being the bigger man and will walk out of the fight. Miz leaves the ring. Drew goes to pose for the crowd. Miz sneaks in and attacks Drew from behind. Drew fights back but is stopped by the referees as we cut to a break.

Drew McIntyre vs The Miz

Miz tries to run away as the bell rings. Drew catches him on the floor and slams him into the apron and barricade a few times. Miz slips away to drive Drew into the ring post. Miz jumps on Drew as he returns to the ring. Miz hits some stomps. Drew catches him as he goes for a corner clothesline. Drew hits belly-to-belly suplexes and a neckbreaker. Miz blocks a DDT and sends Drew to the ropes to hit double knees. Miz tries to expose the turnbuckle but the referee catches him. Drew drops him with a headbutt. Drew calls for the Claymore but Miz does not come up. Drew picks up the sword. The referee goes to remove it and Drew slams Miz into the exposed turnbuckle behind his back. Drew hits a futureshock DDT and gets the pinfall.

Winner – Drew McIntyre

Drew takes the mic after the match and sarcastically says he has realized he is not the same man he was 30 seconds ago. So, he asks for forgiveness and he is now forgiven for everything.


We see a video for Trick Williams beating Dominik Mysterio for the North American title. Trisk is backstage for an interview and introduces himself. Dominik, Rhea Ripley and JD McDonagh interrupt him. Rhea says Dominik will not be alone tomorrow on NXT.

Gunther(c) vs Tomasso Ciampa – WWE Intercontinental Championship

Ciampa tries to wrestle Gunther down to the mat. Ciampa lands quick shots. He hits clotheslines on the ropes. Gunther gets him into a Boston Crab after some effort. Ciampa reaches the ropes but Gunther rolls him over. Ciampa goes to the floor. Ciampa slips out when Gunther tries to send him into the ring post. Ciampa hits a Thesz press before unloading for a while. They get into the ring and Ciampa puts on Scillian lock. Gunther gets to the ropes to break it. We cut to commercials.

Gunther drops Ciampa with a chop. Ciampa tries to fight back but Gunther drops him with a body slam. Gunther boots him into the ropes. Ciampa fires shots before Gunther ducks a clothesline and puts on a sleeper. Ciampa starts to fade but gets the life back. Ciampa gets to his feet and hits a jawbreaker. Ciampa charges into a big boot from Gunther for a two-count. Gunther puts on the sleeper again. Ciampa drives him into the turnbuckle and puts on Scillian stretch. Gunther makes it to the ropes. Gunther slips to the floor, drags Ciampa out and drives him into the apron, into the barricade and drops him on the apron. We cut to another break.

Ciampa is firing chops as we return. Gunther drives him into the corner. He hits knee strikes on the top rope and Ciampa falls to the floor. Gunther brings him back in and Ciampa hits a couple of running knee to knock him back to the mat. He hits a running knee off the apron. Ciampa gets Gunther on the apron again and hits Willow’s bell, but Gunther kicks out. Gunther blocks the Fairytale’s ending. Ciampa targets his injured hand with quick stomps. Ciampa removes his knee pad and charges. Gunther cuts him off with a dropkick to get a near fall. Gunther looks for a powerbomb but his hand gives out. Ciampa hits a reverse DDT and a running knee for a near fall.

Gunther blocks the Fairytale’s ending again and hits a sleeper into dragon suplex for a near fall. Ciampa takes him into Scillian stretch again. Gunther counters it into a pin attempt before Ciampa rolls him back into the Scillian stretch. Gunther takes some effort to drag himself to the ropes. Ciampa hits chops. Gunther fires back. Ciampa hits more chops in the corner. Gunther also hits chops from his bad hand. Ciampa blocks it with a kick. Gunther somehow counters with a powerbomb and hits another powerbomb to follow up. Gunther puts on the sleeper choke. Ciampa goes to sleep and Gunther retains.

Winner – Gunther

Gunther leaves after the win. Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser beat up Ciampa. Johnny Gargano makes his return and runs out to make the save. Superkicks to both Vinci and Kaiser to clear the ring. Ciampa and Gargano reunite to close the show.
