Welcome to ITNWWE’s live coverage for WWE RAW October 16, 2023 episode which is the season premiere on USA Network. The show will be live from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Two title matches are announced for the show. Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso will defend Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor. Bronson Reed will challenge Gunther for Intercontinental title.

Two other matches are Rhea Ripley vs Shayna Baszler and Ricochet vs Shinsuke Nakamura singles matches. the build-up for Crown Jewel 2023 will keep going. Tune in below for the complete results from October 16 Monday Night RAW episode.


The show opens with the theme song before the commentators take us through to the announced matches for tonight. Kevin Patrick has joined the commentary table as Michael Cole has missed the show(just 3rd miss in 25 years).

Sami Opens the Show!

Sami Zayn comes out and takes the mic. Sami says he is really happy for KO and is very excited to see him. He is also excited for himself in a singles runs. But, he is not happy that KO has gone to SmackDown due to Jey Uso coming to RAW. He talks about what all has happened this year and how they were dealing with Judgment Day for the last 6 months, but they are the ones who will get tag title shot later tonight. Sami continues to talk until Judgment Day come out.

Finn Balor says nobody other than them should be opening the season premiere episode. Damian Priest says one thorn is already out in KO, and they would happy to remove Sami, undisputed tag team idiots, and even Drew McIntyre. He gets hyper on the mention of Drew, but others calm him down. Dominik’s time on the mic features more boos than him speaking. Rhea Ripley says they usually offer a path to lost superstars but they have a different path for Sami.

They surround the ring but Jey Uso runs out with steel chair. Judgment Day back off. Sami also leaves the ring without Jey as he is unsure about his feelings about him.


We get a recap of Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ricochet rivalry. Nakamura asks Ricochet in a video promo – whose idea was it to make Falls Count Anywhere – yours or Adam Pearce’s?


Jey Uso catches up with Sami Zayn and asks if they are good. Sami says he just needs space. He is happy that Jey got his back but it should have been Kevin Owens. Jey has got his friend and tag team titles, but he does not have both. Jey says he is there for him. As Jey leaves, Sami gets angry with himself and pushes aside some crates in anger. He runs after Jey quickly and makes things ok.

Ricochet vs Shinsuke Nakamura – Falls Count Anywhere

Ricochet catches Nakamura with a basement slide on the apron even before he can enter the ring. The bell rings and Ricochet hits some quick shots. Nakamura turns it around when they reenter the ring. Nakamura hits a half-and-half suplex. Ricochet comes back with a dropkick. He hits a suicide dive on the floor.

They fight up the ramp and behind the LED screen into Gorilla position. Ricochet hits a ripcord knee strike before they fight back to the stage. Nakamura whips Ricochet to the screen but he bounces off it. Ricochet hits dropkick. Nakamura ducks hits kick and gets his knees up on a moonsault. Ricochet quickly takes over control with a dragon screw. He hits a moonsault to take us to a break.

They are fighting in the crowd as we return. Ricochet hits a shooting star press from the rallings. They fight back to the ringside slowly. Nakamura whips Ricochet into the barricade. He sets up a table before bringing out nun-chucks to hit them on Ricochet. Ricochet hits a knee strike on Nakamura. They get into the ring now.

Ricochet tries to keep up but Nakamura hits GTS in the ring. Nakamura gets ready for kinshasa but Ricochet jumps off his chest and hits an enzuigiri. He hits a springboard 450 splash to get a near fall. Ricochet fights off Nakamura as he gets on the top rope. Nakamura comes up again and manages to push Ricochet down and through the table on the outside. Nakamura hits a kinshasa in front of the announce table to get the pinfall.

Winner – Shinsuke Nakamura

With Piper Niven in tow, Chelsea Green interrupts Tegan Nox, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance backstage. Nox talks back at Chelsea, but Chelsea says they have things to take care, and will deal with her later.

Piper Niven vs Natalya

Piper starts by cornering Natalya but Natalya counters. Back and forth action continues for a while. They trade sunset flips to get a two-count. Piper kicks at Natalya on the ropes and a kicks to the face. Natalya blocks his face being sent into the face and slams Piper’s face into the other turnbuckle. Piper hits her back and drops her at the ring side. We cut to a break.

Piper misses a senton. Natalya ducks a crossbody. She gets a two-count with a crucifix. Natalya hits a kick to the face. Natalya looks for a sharpshooter but Piper kicks her away into Chelsea on the apron. Piper gets the pinfall with a basement crossbody.

Winner – Piper Niven

Chelsea and Piper beat up Natalya after the match. Tegan Nox runs out and kicks Chelsea out. Natalya and Tegan try to double team against Piper, but Piper slips out.


Damian Priest is with Finn Balor and Dominik backstage. He is once again talking about taking down Drew McIntyre to send a message to everyone. Dominik says Mami has told them not to move on Drew. Rhea Ripley comes in and tells them that she has taken care of Drew McIntyre and to trush on her on this. She tells Dominik that she will take care of Shayna Baszler alone.

Rollins & McIntyre

Seth Rollins is out to the ring before the break. He welcomes us to Monday Night Rollins. He hypes how Drew McIntyre came to challenge him face-to-face for the title which is now set for Crown Jewel. Drew said last week that he wanted Rollins close to 100%. But then, he does not do anything when he gets jumped by Damian Priest. So, he is confused. Drew then becomes his white knight when Dominik runs out with the MITB briefcase. So, he has a lot of questions and only Drew can answer them.

Drew McIntyre comes out. He tells Rollins that he wants Rollins at 100% but he is not gonna babysit him for two weeks. Rollins then asks him if he has enlisted to some services. Drew asks him to explain. Rollins then plays a footage of Drew McIntyre talking to Rhea Ripley in the background. Drew explains that Rhea came to him. Drew mentions beating Rollins, but he replies that nobody is taking away the title from him. Rollins says Drew has failed in the last couple of years, and this might have forced him to get some side help.

Drew reminds Rollins that he beat Rollins last time they were in a world title match. He says he did not fail but it was the Bloodline who interfered. Rollins says Drew must get over The Bloodline. Drew says Rollins is enjoying his time as the champion with the crowd singing his theme song. He adds that he also has a catchy theme song, but he ain’t bringing it back. He talks about becoming a champion during pandemic and stepping up. He then worked his way back up but lost the title match to Roman due to The Bloodline. So, he is not sorry if he is still obsessed with them.

Drew talks about taking the title away from Rollins once again. Rollins talks about himself trying to work his way to the top for 4 years and finally climbing that mountain once again. Rollins then says all he is hearing from Drew is excuses. Rollins leaves the ring to end the segment.

Ludwig Kaiser vs Johnny Gargano

We see a recap of how Imperium attacked DIY. Gargano runs out when his music hits. He wants to start off right away but the referee blocks him. Gargano starts with quick shots but Kaiser gets the control with a distraction. Gargano uses the ropes for a submission. Kaiser hits back with a knee on the apron. He hits a running uppercut to the back of his neck to knock him off the apron and into the barricade. We cut to a break.

Gargano is fighting back with a forearm and left punches. Kaiser blocks him but Gargano sends him into the turnbuckle. He gets him down to the mat and hits a knee. He hits an enzuigiri from the apron before a slingshot spear through the ropes. Gargano hits a flatliner from the top rope to get a two-count. They trade chops before Gargano hits a superkick against the turnbuckle and a sunset flip powerbomb to get a near fall. The referee separates him as he was working against the ropes. Kaiser hits an European uppercut to get control.

Gargano rolls him up for a two-count. He uses a low bridge to send Kaiser to the floor. Gargano hits willow’s bell as he returns to the ring. Gargano hits One Final Beat but they are so close to the ropes that Vinci flicks into Gargano’s eyes to break the pinfall. Gargano beats up Vinci on the floor and slams his face on the announce table. Vinci gets into the ring and runs off. But, Kaiser cuts off Gargano when he chases Vinci. Kaiser finishes off the match with a DDT to get a pinfall.

Winner – Ludwig Kaiser

Backstage, NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is interrupted by Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. Indi asks her when is she gonna give a title shot to the women who never lost it. Becky says she will go to Adam Pearce and get it done. Rhea Ripley is close by and have a face-off with Becky.


A civil discussion between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn turned into an argument. Drew ends the segment saying he will talk to Adam Pearce about a match between them next week.


Rhea Ripley gets into the ring and cuts a promo regarding everyone chasing her, but she is the baddest woman of the division and will continue to be the Women’s World Champion.

Rhea Ripley vs Shayna Baszler

A back and forth match between them. But, it gets interrupted by Nia Jax who is then attacked by Raquel Rodriguez on the floor. Zoey Stark finally caused a DQ as she kicked at Rhea in the ring. Nia avoids a crossbody against the steps on the floor by Raquel. She gets into the ring but Zoey shows some athleticism to drop her.


Becky Lynch is backstage talking to Adam Pearce to confirm a match against Indi Hartwell. Xia Li comes in and argues with Becky for being passed by once again for a title shot. As Li leaves, we see Jade Cargill coming in for a brief face-off with Becky. Becky leaves and Adam Pearce welcomes Jade.

Gunther(c) vs Bronson Reed – WWE Intercontinental Championship

Gunther hits big chops in the corner. Reed hits a Thesz press to come back. He hits a corner splash. Gunther moves to the floor. Reed jumps on him but Gunther counters with a chop. He hits more chops before they get into the ring. Gunther puts on a sleeper choke. Reed pushes him into the corner to break free but Gunther puts it on when they return to the middle. Reed is down to his knees now. He gets back up after a minute. They get to the apron and Gunther hits more chops. He goes for a piledriver but Reed hits a back body drop. Reed hits a cannonball off the apron to take us to a break.

They are trading chops in the ring. Reed blocks a chop and hits a headbutt. They both hit a clothesline at the same time. Reed hits a roundhouse kick and a snap powerslam to get a two-count. Reed hits a senton to get a two-count. Gunther hits a big clothesline to drop Reed for a two-count. Gunther gets to the top rope. Reed meets him on the top and gets him down with a superplex to get a near fall. Gunther gets his knee up on Tsunami. He hits a big clothesline and follows up with a splash, but Reed kicks out. Gunther then hits a powerbomb to get the pinfall and retain the title.

Winner – Gunther

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso(c) vs Judgment Day(Damian Priest & Finn Balor) – Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

Jey and Balor starts. Jey takes a quick star. Priest lowers the ropes and Jey falls to the floor running the ropes. Priest and Balor start to double team against him. Jey hits an enzuigiri on Priest and tags in Cody. Cody hits quick shots on Priest before hitting snap powerslams on Priest and Balor. He hits a disaster kick on Priest. Dominik comes out. Cody gets distracted but manages to send Priest into the turnbuckles. He goes for Crossrhodes but Balor comes in again. Balor tries to counter Crossrhodes, but Jey hits him with a superkick. Balor is hit with a disaster kick. Cody hits Crossrhodes on Priest but Dominik puts Priest’s leg on the ropes to break the pin. We cut to a break.

Cody is unloading on Priest as we return. Priest nails him with a big shot. Cody blocks a suplex and hits Pedigree. Tags to Jey and Balor. Jey hits a clotheslines, a kick to midsection, and a Samoan Drop. Balor sends him to the apron. Balor rallies with his own set of moves. He gets ready for a shotgun dropkick but Jey hits a superkick. Cody comes in and they hit Cody 1-D, but Balor kicks out. Cody goes for a suicide dive but Priest catches him and hits a chokeslam on the apron. Priest clears the table but Cody counters to slam his face into the table.

Dominik tries to interfere again but Sami Zayn runs out to deal with him. Priest sends Sami into the steel steps. Priest manages to send Cody through the announce table with Razor’s Edge. Balor hits a slingblade in the ring on Jey. Jey hits a spear on him. Jey hits a spear on Priest also. He gets to the top but Jimmy Uso comes in and hits a superkick. Finn Balot hits Coupe de Grace to get the pinfall.

Winner – Judgment Day

Judgment Day celebrates with their titles to close the show.
