WWE RAW May 27, 2024 episode featured a steel cage match between Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch for Women’s World Championship. It will also start the build-up for Clash at the Castle 2024 event.

Braun Strowman was set to take on JD McDonagh. We also heard from “The King General” Gunther. Check below for the complete results and updates from WWE RAW May 27, 2024.

Gunther, Damian Priest & Drew McIntyre

Gunther came out to the ring after being introduced by Lugwig Kaiser. Gunther addressed his win against Randy Orton in the final of the King of the Ring being tainted before saying that he increased the prestige of Intercontinental title and he would do the same to World Heavyweight Championship. He said the current champion won the title via a shortcut. This brought out World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. Priest asked Gunther if he knew about business here as he just did what many had done before him to cash in MITB briefcase. Gunther replied that he was still waiting for some to teach him something in the ring, but he could definitely learn more about the business.

Drew McIntyre came out to interrupt them. He had to shut down “CM Punk” chants. Gunther left the ring to let Priest and McIntyre talk. McIntyre said Priest had put Judgment Day in disarray ever since Rhea Ripley got injured. He talked about several WWE Hall of Famers from UK, but they had not won WWE World title, which he had already won three times now. He claimed that he would win it for the fourth time at Clash at the Castle, which would take place in his home country of Scotland. Priest brought up McIntyre’s wife and this irked McIntyre. Braun Strowman’s entrance ended the segment.

Braun Strowman vs JD McDonagh

Braun dominated the first half by manhandling McDonagh and throwing him around the ring. McDonagh rolled out of the ring but the same treatment continued when he returned. McDonagh finally avoided Braun in the corner to send him crashing into the ring post. McDonagh then hit a chop block on Braun’s knee. After the break, Braun tried to fight back despite his injured knee. He hit leaping tackle to force McDonagh to roll to the floor. We got interferences from Finn Balor and Carlito, but Braun dealt with both of them before catching McDonagh with tilt-a-whirl powerslam to get the pinfall. Braun Strowman defeated JD McDonagh.

Carlito and Balor attacked Strowman after the match. Strowman dealt with them easily and threw them out. McDonagh hit Strowman with a chair from behind. Strowman no-sold it. McDonagh ran out of the ring and to the back. Strowman tried to chase them, but was limping due to an injured knee.


We caught up with Liv Morgan backstage for an interview. Liv said while she won the title from Becky, she did not have anything to do with Dominik Mysterio’s interference. However, since Becky could still bring that up, she wanted to have a clean win over Becky which set up the steel cage match for tonight.


We got the recap of Bron Breakker squashing Kale Dixon last week and how he attacked Ricochet backstage while he was talking to Ilja Dragunov. We cut to a segment from earlier today where Ricochet was cleared for in-ring action. Ricochet asked Adam Pearce for a match against Breakker, but he was informed that Breakker was suspended for this week. Ilja Dragunov came in to thank Ricochet to save him from Breakker’s tackle. This was ultimately turned into a match tonight.

Ricochet vs Ilja Dragunov

Ricochet had his ribs taped up but started with a dropkick. Dragunov hit him with chops. He hits some German suplexes before hitting a running knee to knock Ricochet to the floor to take us to a break. Dragunov shut down Ricochet’s attack after the break before creating momentum with enzuigiri, suplex and Constantine special. Ricochet hit a suicide dive but second one was cut off by Dragunov to be dropped on the apron.

Back and forth action continued until Ricochet hit a superkick and Recoil for a near fall. After some headbutts, Ricochet hit Shooting Star Press. Bron Breakker attacked both men to cause a disqualification.

Breakker hit Dragunov with a spear before officials ran out. Adam Pearce started shouting at Breakker who stared him down before heading backstage.

After the break, Adam Pearce was still shouting at Breakker backstage. Breakker finally walked off. Kiana James came to Pearce who took her to her office as he wanted a drink.


We cut to a video featuring The Miz and R-Truth with an ice cream truck. New Day came and asked them if they were organizing a Memorial Day raffle for tag team titles. Truth said “Yes” while Miz said “No”. Karrion Kross came in to try and create rift in New Day. Woods challenged for a tag team match against Authors of Pain next week.

The Creed Brothers(Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) vs Authors of Pain(Akam & Rezar)

A brawl between all 4 men started the match. AOP took the control early over Brutus and worked double team against him. Brutus escaped from the corner after a while and tagged in Julius who came in hot to hit belly-to-belly suplexes. Julius hit a moonsault from the top. Brutus got to the top rope for Brutus Ball but Scarlett attacked Ivy Nile on the floor to distract the Creed Brothers. AOP hit Brutus with “What A Rush” finisher to get the pinfall. AOP defeated The Creed Brothers.


Backstage, Rey Mysterio talked to Carlito through the camera, saying he welcomed him to LWO with open arms, but he got jealous of Dragon Lee.

We got a special video package for Memorial Day.


Sheamus came out to the ring and said he was not part of King & Queen of the Ring since he was taken out by Ludwig Kaiser. Kairi appeared on the big screen and taunted Sheamus for not blaming his failures on Gunther and him. Sheamus stormed to the back but Kaiser attacked him from behind. They brawled back to the ramp which was broken up by the officials.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyrie was sitting in the locker room when Becky Lynch came in and brought up how both of them lost on Saturday. Becky tried to motivate Lyra before heading out.

Kairi Sane vs Lyra Valkyrie

Lyra blocked a suplex early and hit some kicks but was having issues with her taped ribs. Kairi tripped her from the top rope before starting to target the ribs with kicks. She hit a sliding forearm before a double stomp on the ribs on the apron. Kairi then hung her upside down from the top turnbuckle and hit another double stomp to her ribs. Lyra countered Insane Elbow with her boots and put Kairi in a crucifix to get the pinfall out of nowhere. Lyra Valkyrie defeated Kairi Sane.


Backstage, Finn Balor and Carlito get into Judgment Day’s club house. Damian Priest kicked out Carlito. McDonagh showed up. Priest asked him where Dominik Mysterio before asking if he needed to deal with Braun Strowman. Dominik Mysterio finally appeared and assured that he would take care of Liv Morgan tonight.


Backstage, Iyo Sky was in her locker room and snapped when Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane arrived after losing to Lyra.

Carlito vs Rey Mysterio

Carlito rolled out of the ring after the bell but was forced to get back in by Dragon Lee blocking his way. Carlito whipped Rey from corner to corner several times. He hung Rey upside down, but Rey got up to avoid a slide to send Carlito to the floor. Carlito was still in control after the break. He hit a superplex by picking Rey from the apron. Rey started to fight back and created some momentum. Carlito countered a springboard move with a Death Valley Driver. Rey set up 619 but Carlito hit him with a back body drop. Finn Balor came out to attack Dragon Lee on the floor. However, Rey was able to counter a backstabber to set up 619 and followed up with a springboard leg drop to get the pinfall. Rey Mysterio defeated Carlito.

After the match, LWO attacked Balor and set him up on the announce table. Damian Priest attacked Rey from behind. Carlito pulled Lee from the top rope before Priest hit him with Razor’s Edge. Rey hit Priest with a dropkick before dropping Balor off the apron. Priest escaped a 619 and hit Rey with South of Heaven.


Chad Gable was talking to Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri backstage. He told Otis that he was giving him a shot at redeeming himself after costing him the title. He told Tozawa and Dupri to stay at the back.

Bronson Reed vs Otis

Reed started with big shots. He hit a running crossbody before dropping Otis to the floor. Gable was shouting at Otis from the floor. Reed caught Otis on the apron. Otis came back with a clothesline as seeth in anger. He hit several blows before hitting Reed with a running crossbody. He hit a corner splash also but Gable interrupted him when he was going for the caterpillar. This ultimately cost Otis as it allowed Reed to recover to hit him from behind. Reed hit Tsunami to get the pinfall. Bronson Reed defeated Otis.

After the match, Otis was leaving when Gable shouted at him to get back into the ring. Gable also asked Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri to get into the ring. Post-break, Gable asked Otis what he should do to get through to him. Gable said Otis was not disciplined, so, he would discipline him. Gable removed his belt and asked Otis to grab the ropes. Otis seemed hesitant but ultimately stood by the ropes. Maxxine stopped Gable as he was going to hit Otis. Gable started to berate Maxxine and told her to get out of the ring.

Sami Zayn interruptted them with his entrance. He checked on Maxxine on the stage before heading to the ring. Sami told Gable that it was him who failed to get the job done and kept blaiming everyone else. Gable said he would have won the title on Saturday if it was not for Otis, so, he would discipline Otis. Sami snatched the belt off Gable’s hands. Gable ordered Otis to attack Sami. Sami asked Otis to listen to the fans and his inner voice. Gable and Sami got into a brawl. Otis pulled Sami away from Gable. Gable then hit Sami from a German suplex from behind. Gable took Otis and Tozawa with him to the back.


Backstage, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler were discussing to invite WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to RAW next week to showcase themselves. Sonya Deville came in and told them they were being overconfident. Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre came in to challenge Baszler and Stark for a match next week.

Liv Morgan(c) vs Becky Lynch – Steel Cage Match for Women’s World Championship

Liv tried to escape the cage early but Becky puller her back, only for Liv to smash Becky’s face into the cage several time. Liv kept control of a while. Becky fought back but Liv sent her into the cage to take us to a break. Liv was trying to get to escape from the top again but Becky hit her with a superplex. Liv hit a codebreaker the next minute to get a near fall. They both end up on the top now. Becky slammed Liv’s face into the steel to drop her back into the ring. Liv pulled Becky down and hit a powerbomb. Becky attempted a DisArmHer on the ropes but Liv quickly sent her into the cage to break the hold.

Dominik Mysterio walked out and opened the cage door for Becky. Other Judgment Day members came out to question his actions. Braun Strowman, who was searching for JD McDonagh all night, ran out. Strowman ended up tackling Balor into the cage door just as Becky was about to get out. Liv then walked out of the door easily. Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch.

Liv walked up the ramp where Dominik. They stared down for a while before Liv kissed Dominik. Dominik tried to weakly resist it and continued to stare her.
