WWE RAW made its streaming debut as the show shifted to air on Netflix worldwide from January 6, 205 onwards. The Netflix debut show marked WWE’s foray into a new era. It aired from The Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, CA and was packed with some big matches along with the return of John Cena. The anticipation around Cena is sky high as fans await his final matches and feuds. Who was Cena’s first opponent as he starts the final leg of his career?

CM Punk vs Seth Rollins Main Event: CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ rivalry finally became hot leading up to WWE’s Netflix debut. In the past few weeks, both men have traded verbal jabs as they tried to get advantage in mind games. But, they had refrained from throwing hands. Did their match live up to its billing?

Tribal Combat for Ula-Fala: Roman Reigns was set on his mission to regain the Ula-Fala, and with it, the status of The Tribal Chief. He needed to beat Solo Sikoa for it though in a Tribal Combat match. Despite the no-disqualification nature of the matc, could we rely on Solo to have a clean finish to this match? Additionally, Paul Heyman was incharge of the Ula-Fala during this match. Was there a swerve coming there? How did the Rock’s appearance change the dynamics of this match?

Women’s Championship Match: Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley were set for the final leg of their feud. Liv has managed to hold onto the Women’s World title in two showdowns, thanks to Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez. But, with Liv determined to show that she could be a handful herself, did Rhea finally complete her mission to regain the title she never really lost?

Jey Uso vs Drew McIntyre: Drew McIntyre had shifted his focus from CM Punk to the Bloodline. He faced Jey Uso in a singles match. Did Jey prevail here riding on his momentum as a singles star?

RESULTS & LIVE UPDATES

The show opens with usual scenes of arrival of Seth Rollins, CM Punk and others. We cut to a special video package for WWE’s historic move. There is a screen surrounding the ring where also this package is projected. As the package ends, the screen collapses, revealing Triple H(Paul Levesque) is standing in the ring. He tells the fans to scream and show everyone that wrestling fans are the loudest.

The Rock’s Opens WWE on Netflix

After Triple H leaves, The Rock makes his entrance. He gives high-fives with fans around the ring and shakes hands with the commentators before getting into the ring. He talks about they had to buy the tickets or wait until Saturday morning to watch WWE, but now times have changed and you can watch it on Netflix. He mentions how Netflix has this vision for pro-wrestling and points to some of Netflix’s executives in the top box. He credits Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes of doing a great job of carrying the company on his back for the last one year. He also acknowledges Roman Reigns. He ends the promo with his skit of “If you could smell……” After leaving the ring, he hugs Cody in the front row.

Solo Sikoa vs Roman Reigns – Tribal Combat Match for The Ula-Fala

Solo makes his entrance first. Roman follows him out shortly. Paul Heyman takes care of announcing duties for Roman. Solo takes out the Ula-Fala amid “F##k You, Solo” chants and gives it to Heyman for safekeeping.

They start with collar and elbow tie-up. Roman throws Solo to the floor after some back and forth in the tie-up. They both drive each other’s back to the barricade. Solo then slams Roman’s face in the announce table before dropping him with a clothesline in the ring. Solo hits a headbutt. Roman comes back with a clothesline and follows up with a jumping clothesline. His signature corner clotheslines follow. Solo cuts him off at the ropes with an elbow. Roman boots him to the floor. Solo catches him with a Spinning Solo on the announce table. He slams a monitor on Roman’s head.

Solo is in control after the break. There are several chairs in the ring now. Solo drives one chair into Roman’s ribs before slamming it his spine several times. Solo wraps the chair around Roman’s neck in the corner for the stinkface but gets away. Roman tries to mount a comeback but Solo hits him with a low blow. Solo goes to bring a table but Roman hits him with a drive-by dropkick. Roman then brings the table into the ring. He tries to pull Solo into the ring but Solo hits him with a kendo stick to his head.

Solo hits Roman with some more shots from kendo stick. He pins Roman in the corner and climbs to the second rope. Solo keeps telling Roman that Roman never loved him despite him doing everything he wanted. Roman pulls him up from the second rope and powerbombs him through the table. He goes for the pin but Tama Tonga pulls the referee from the ring. Jacob Fatu attacks Roman from behind and hits him with a superkick and a moonsault. Solo hits a Samoan Spike but Roman kicks out of the pin as the referee takes some time to recover.

Solo hits the referee with Samoan spike in frustration. Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso run out to attack Jacob and Tama. They get into the ring after this where Jimmy hits Solo with a superkick, Sami with a Helluva kick and Roman with a spear. But, there is no referee. By the time a referee runs out, Solo manages to kick out of the pin. Sami and Jimmy fight Jacob and Tama to the back. Kevin Owens comes through the crowd to hit a stunner on Roman. Solo recovers to cover Roman, but he kicks out. Cody Rhodes comes out and hits Owens with Crossrhodes before taking him away from the ring. Roman and Solo counter each other before Roman hits a spear. Roman hits another spear on Solo to get the pinfall.

Winner – Roman Reigns

After the match, Paul Heyman goes into the ring with the Ula-Fala. But, The Rock comes out and bestows the Ula-Fala on Roman himself.

John Cena Farewell Tour Begins

John Cena comes out to start his farewell tour. He starts his promo by pointing out that this is the first time that RAW is airing simultaneously around the world. He thanks Netflix to let them share the experience of Monday Night RAW to the world. Cena says there is no better place to start his farewell tour than Los Angeles and counts all of his significant career moment here along with winning his first World title.

Cena then brings up how all kind of names are being thrown around as the list of his opponents, and the question of when does he become 17 time World Champion. Cena then brings up that it has been more than 2400 days he won a [singles] match. He says with a streak like that he can’t just waltz into the main event. He might have to win Money in the Bank or Royal Rumble. Then, it strikes to him that he could win the Royal Rumble. He announces his entry into the Royal Rumble and claims that he will win it.


We get a video package for Logan Paul where he says that he is now a WWE star 100% and he will dedicate his life to this completely.

Liv Morgan(c) vs Rhea Ripley – Women’s World Championship

Liv Morgan makes her entrance with Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez alongside her. After the break, we get a parade of stars in the crowd along with some of the reigning WWE Champions. Rhea comes out after this.

They start with a brawl before Rhea hits a knee to Liv’s face. Rhea throws her out of the ring. Rhea then hits a cannonball on Raquel on the floor. Dominik runs a distraction which allows Liv to deck Rhea off the apron. Liv goes for a dive but Rhea catches her and puts her through the announce table.

Raquel takes a cheap shot at Rhea. This allows Liv to send Rhea crashing into the mat. Rhea sends Morgan into the turnbuckles before slamming her. Liv slaps her back. Rhea hits a couple of clotheslines, a boot and a Full Nelson suplex. Ripley sets up for Riptide on Morgan, but Liv hits a tornado DDT to get a two-count. Rhea hits a headbutt. Liv hits an enzuigiri. Rhea hits a Riptide out of nowhere, but Liv kicks out of the pinfall.

Dominik slides Liv’s title into the ring. The referee goes to remove it. Raquel tries to interfere behind the referee but Rhea hits her with a knee. Liv catches Rhea off guard with the Oblivion, but Rhea also kicks out of the pin. Liv is frustrated. She hits The Three Amigos and the Frog Splash but Rhea kicks out again. Rhea starts to hulk up. She blocks the Oblivion and hits an Urinage. Rhea hits two back-to-back Riptides to get the pinfall.

Winner – Rhea Ripley

Rhea celebrates with her title. Dominik sneaks into the ring to attack Rhea, but changes his tune when Rhea turns around and offers to hug him. Rhea hits him with a punt kick to his balls and hits him with the Riptide. As Rhea reaches the stage, The Undertaker’s Gong hits. The “American Badass” Undertaker comes out on his bike. Rhea hops onto it and they pose to close the show.


Backstage, Bayley is talking to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce when Cathy Kelley goes to interview him. Pearce gets cut-off quickly by Chad Gable and the rest of the American Made. Gable tells Pearce that he wants to show that he has no weakness against Luchadors, and so, Pearce should bring him the best luchadors there is for next week.

Jey Uso vs Drew McIntyre

Jey Uso makes his entrace with the rapper Travis Scott. They come out through the crowd and “Yeet” with the commentators. Drew makes his entrace after the break which gets cut-off as Jey dives on him at the ringside. Drew hits back quickly to send Jey into the barricade.

Drew takes Jey to the ring and beats him up. Drew hits several chops and punches in the corner. Drew gets up on the second rope which gives Jey a chance to pick him up and hit a powerbomb. Jey hits a series of punches before hitting an enzuigiri and a hip attack in the corner. A crossbody follows it up from the top rope. Drew ducks a punch and hits a neckbreaker. Drew looks for a Claymore kick early, but Jey hits him with a superkick instead. Jey heads to the top rope, but Drew gets his feet up to block the Usos Splash. Drew hits a spinebuster and a powerbomb to get a two-count both times.

They trade blows before Drew hits a futureshock DDT to get another two-count. Jey hits a spear to get a two-count. Jey hits several superkicks. Drew avoids a spear and hits Claymore kick, but Jey kicks out of the pin. Drew beats up Jey before hitting the Glasgow kick. Jey drops dead to the mat when Drew goes for the Claymore. Drew waits for him to get up. Drew goes for the Claymore, but Jey suckers him into a crucifix to get the pinfall.

Winner – Jey Uso

We get a video package for World Heavyweight Champion Gunther talking about the new era.


Hulk Hogan comes out to the stage to a mixed reaction. He says he has been in this business for more than 40 years, but the fans have been his best tag team partners through it. Heavy boos as he continues to speak. He plugs in his new Real American Beer before ripping up his shirt to unviel Netflix is RAW shirt underneath.

CM Punk vs Seth Rollins

Amazing atmosphere for the main event. They start by trading punches. Rollins back Punk to the ropes to hit some punches and chops. Punk ducks and sends Rollins to the floor. Punk goes for a dive, but Rollins gets back into the ring and hits a suicide dive himself. Rollins gets into an argument with the referee. This gives Punk a chance to recover and send Rollins over the barricade. They continue to fight.

Punk takes Rollins back to the ring. Rollins tries to catch him with the stomp, but Punk avoids it. Punk goes for the GTS, but Rollins slips out and sends him into corners Punk. Rollins boots Punk in the corner which gets a warning from the referee. Rollins goes to argue with the referee and Punk hits him from behind. Punk hits a superplex to take us to a break.

Rollins is in control after the break and hits several elbow shots in the corner. Rollins runs corner-to-corner. Punk counters with a jumping knee in the corner. Rollins avoids a bulldog but Punk runs him over with ax handle. He signals for the GTS, but Rollins gets to the apron. Punk then hits a neckbreaker on the ropes before hitting a crossbody.

Back to the ring, Punk goes for another crossbody from the top rope. But, Rollins catches him this time and rolls over to get him in a fireman’s carry to hit GTS. Punk is down on the floor. Rollins mocks Punk on the floor before taking him bcak to the ring. Punk then catches Rollins with the curbstomp to get a near fall.

Punk signals for the GTS but Rollins catches his knee and hits another GTS. Punk kicks out of the pinfall. Punk avoids the stomp and rolls out of the ring. Rollins slams him on the announce table. He looks for the pedigree on the table. Punk tries to counter with a GTS but Rollins slips out and hits the pedigree. Rollins has hurt his knee though. He takes Punk into the ring and hits another pedigree, but Punk kicks out of the pin again.

They start to go back and forth. Rollins counter a high knee by picking up Punk to hit a bucklebomb. Rollins then hits the stomp near the ropes. Punk gets his leg to the ropes to break the pinfall. Rollins takes Punk to the top rope. Punk punches him back to the mat. Rollins hulks up and hits a superplex. Punk blocks the falcon arrow and hits GTS. Rollins bounces off the ropes and onto Punk’s shoulders again. Punk somehow hits another GTS to get the pinfall.

Winner – CM Punk

Punk gets his hands raised as the end credits start rolling.
