WWE RAW episode of May 2, 2022, will be the go-home episode before WrestleMania Backlash 2022 event. The show will air on Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC.

The Bloodline – Roman Reigns & The Usos – will come to RAW this week in the build-up to their match against RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre. We can also expect other storylines to continue to build up for Backlash event. Also, the returnees like Mustafa Ali, Veer, Asuka and Tommaso Ciampa will also likely feature on the show.

The Bloodline & Its Enemies

Roman Reigns comes out to the ring with The Usos and Paul Heyman. He takes a long time to come down the ramp and into the ring, posing at the apron first and then in the ring. Paul Heyman takes the mic and introduces the Bloodline. Roman takes the mic and asks the fans to acknowledge him.

RK-Bro- Randy Orton and Riddle- suddenly drop The Usos with tandem RKOs. Roman is standing in the ring alone against two from RK-Bro. Drew McIntyre’s music hits and he comes out to the ring. Drew stares Roman. RK-Bro leave the ring for Drew to deal with Roman. Drew and Roman start to brawl with punches. Drew gets the upperhand in the corner but The Usos attack him from behind. RK-Bro attack The Usos and the brawling continue between the six men. Crew members come out and try to get things under control. We cut to a break.


After the break, we see Ezekiel going to Street Profits backstage. Profits give him a drink. Alpha Academy and Kevin Owens come down and try to once again prove that Ezekiel is in fact Elias itself. A challenge is issued for a 6-man tag team match.

Kevin Owens, Chad Gable & Otis vs Ezekiel, Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford

The bell rings and Dawkins starts with a big tackle on Gable. Gable takes him down with a gutwrench. Dawkins avoids an attack with a handspring before Gable hits an armdrag. Ford comes in for double team tackle. Ford puts on an armbar. Ford puts on an arm and shoulder stretch. Gable reverses it and has Ford on the mat. Ford hits an armdrag and a dropkick. Otis comes in and if takes all three of Ezekiel, Ford and Dawkins to hit a triple dropkick to send him to the floor. We cut to a break.

Gable has Ford in an arm and shoulder stretch. Ford tries to fights him off from the apron but Gable counters with a Northern Light suplex and bridges for a two-count. Owens comes in and hits a moonsault from the second rope for a two-count. Ford counters with an enziguiri. Both men tag out. Ezekiel tees off against Gable. He hits a big spinebuster. Otis is knocked off the apron. Ezekiel throws Gable into the corner for a splash. Ezekiel then hits a vertical suplex and Otis breaks the pin.

Owens is thrown out by Dawkins. Ford comes in and sends Otis to the floor. Ford is dumped to the floor by Gable. Ezekiel drops Gable. Kevin Owens takes a cheap shot at Ezekiel from the floor. Gable puts on a crucifix pin to get the three count.

Winners- Kevin Owens, Chad Gable & Otis

AJ Styles is backstage and is asked about the added stipulation for his match against Damian Priest. He explains Edge is on an ego trip. So, he has decided to bring him down a bit and would like Priest to be barred from the ringside at WrestleMania Backlash if he wins tonight. If he does not win tonight, he will have an uphill battle.

We get a recap on Sonya Deville’s WWE RAW Women’s title challenge to Bianca Beliar and how she changed stipulation in between the match and got it restart, but still failed to win. Sonya is backstage with fellow WWE Official Adam Pearce. Pearce informs her that upper management is not happy about Sonya’s abuse of power last week. They have order her to be in a 6-woman tag team match involving Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley on her side against Bianca, Asuka and Liv Morgan.

Veer Mahaan vs Birk Hanson

Veer makes his entrance before the break. After the break, Bryon Saxton is in the ring to interview Veer’s opponent Birk Hanson. Saxton asks him why he is here. Hanson replies that Veer scares the crap out of him, but he wanted to work in WWE and wants to make his dream come tonight.

The bell rings and Veer puts him to the corner. He slams Hanson to the corner and hits a couple of shots. Hanson hits back with an elbow which makes Veer angrier. Veer tosses him from corner to corner. He whips to the ropes and hits knees to the ribs. Veer manhandles Hanson for some more time. Veer hits the million-dollar lariat and then puts on the Cervical Clutch to get the submission.

Winner- Veer Mahaan

After the match, Veer stomps on Hanson before putting on Cervical Clutch once again. Hanson fades out and Veer lets him go.

Edge and Damian Priest are out in the ring. Edge takes the mic and introduces themselves as Judgement Day. Edge says many of us despise them. Edge takes verbal shots at the crowd, calling them dummies. Edge asks AJ Styles to not be a rodent to follow a heard mentality and go back to his wife and children. Edge riles up the crowd more and more to get a reaction from them. He says AJ has been able to get a stipulation added, but his punishment for it will be….. AJ’s music hits and he comes out to the ring.

Damian Priest vs AJ Styles – If AJ Styles wins, Damian Priest will be barred from ringside at WrestleMania Backlash

AJ starts with big punches. Priest throws him to the corner but JA continues to nail punches. Priest rocks AJ back with a big uppercut. Priest hits a suplex. AJ hits back with forearms and calf kicks after coming out of a shoulder stretch. Priest picks him up and AJ takes him over the ropes and to the floor. AJ hits a diving forearm. He slams Priest’s face into the ringpost. He throws Priest into the ring but Priest gets out again. AJ follows but Priest picks him up and sends him into the ringpost. We cut to a break.

AJ is trying to come back in the match as we return from the break. Priest stops his counters and puts him on the top turnbuckle, getting himself on the second rope. AJ slips out of the corner and picks up Priest to hit a rack bomb for a close two-count. Priest hits a kick to the shoulder. AJ hits an enziguiri. Priest hits a backbreaker. Priest was looking to finish off but AJ hits back with a Pele kick. AJ sets up the Phenomenal Forearm. Priest catches him and hits a chokeslam for a near fall. AJ counters with calf crusher attempt. Edge on the apron for a distraction. AJ counters Priest with a pin attempt and gets the three count.

Winner- AJ Styles

After the match, Edge attacks Styles. Priest drops AJ with reckoning. Edge orders him to attack Styles’ shoulder as he brings out some chairs. Finn Balor runs down to make the save and forces Edge and Priest to retreat. AJ and Balor do “Too Sweet” as Edge and Priest watch from the ramp.

The Miz with Mustafa Ali

The Miz starts talking about how he interviewed a rising star and the youngest United State Champion Theory last week, only to get interrupted by a forgotten star Mustafa Ali. He brings out Ali to talk about all this. Ali makes his way down but his music is cut off in between. Ali comes into the ring and takes the mic. Miz asks him if he can call him Must. Ali’s mic is not working. The Miz continues to ramble while Ali continues to struggle for his mic.

Ali snatches Miz’s mic and says only thing for him and fans to complain is that Miz still works here. Ali says when he feels unheard, he goes to WWE Universe because they are the only ones who matter. Miz takes the other mic and rants on Ali for a while. Theory’s music cuts them off. Theory comes out and tells Miz that he has asked Mr. McMahon for his loss last week to be purged from his record permanently. Theory continues his promo until Ali cuts him off saying they both talk too much.

Ali vents his frustration on Theory. Theory tells Ali that he is getting a championship contender match tonight. He also says Miz would like a second chance against Ali. So, he will team up with Theory to face Ali in a handicapped match.

Mustafa Ali vs Theory & The Miz – 2-on-1 Handicapped Match

Theory and Miz takes control early in the match. Ali tries to fight back but Theory hits kicks to the chest. Theory with a snapmare and a stomp. Ali hits a jawbreaker. Theory tags out immediately. Miz sends him to the corner. Ali fights back in the corner. He knocks Theory off the apron. Ali hits a rolling thunder neckbreaker. Theory sends him to the floor. Ali fights him off but Miz catches him with Skull Crushing Finale to get the pin.

Winner- Theory & The Miz

After the match, Theory and Miz celebrate while Ali recovers in the ring. Tommaso Ciampa attacks Ali from behind and leaves him lying in the ring.


We see footage of Dana Brooke angry at Reggie for attempting to pin Dana for 24/7 title. They run into R-Truth, Akira Tozawa, and Tamina. Brooke demands an apology from R-Truth but R-Truth says he was just testing Dana and apologizes for it. Nikki ASJ attacks Dana from behind and win the 24/7 title. Dana snaps at Reggie and wants him to get her rematch.

Nikki ASH(c) vs Dana Brooke – WWE 24/7 Championship Match

Nikki hits a kick to midsection to start the match. Dana fights back and is able to send Nikki to the floor. Nikki traps her in the apron cloth and unloads on her. Dana kicks out of the pin when they return to the ring. Dana sends Nikki to the corner for a corner splash, a dropkick and a snapmare to get a pinfall.

Winner- Dana Brooke

After the match, Akira Tozawa tries to sneak a pin on Dana but Tamina pulls her out. R-Truth tries the same thing but Tamina pulls her out also. Reggie also attempt a pin but Dana avoids it. Dana gets on top of announce table and says she wants a divorce.

Becky Lynch is backstage with Kevin Patrick. Becky asks Kevin if anyone knows how brave she was and what it took her to admit that she hit rock bottom. And she did all this to have Asuka, the woman she handed her title to, come out and disrespect her at her lowest point. She says Asuka was not able to hold onto the title and is now attacking her when she is down. Becky promises that Asuka will be the first victim of her ressurection.

Seth Rollins Appreciation Night

Seth Rollins makes his entrance and we go to break.

Back from the break, Rollins takes the mic brings up how RAW celebrated Randy Orton’s 20 years career last week. Now, he wants to celebrate himself now. The crowd boos him and starts Cody chants. Rollins says many of us have forgotten how good he is and that he is the standard bearer in this industry. “We Want Cody” chants now. Rollins says he has got a video package for us to remind how good he is. But, Cody’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring.

Seth calls Cody delusional for thinking Cody is better than him. Rollins tells Cody he doesn’t belong here as this is his appreciation night. Cody also replies to him and Seth goes on to insult Dusty Rhodes. Rollins takes the first shot at Cody to start brawl. Rhodes hits the Cody Cutter and forces Rollins to retreat.

Cedric Alexander vs Bobby Lashley

Both men have entered for the match before the break. The bell rings and Omos makes his entrance with MVP. Cedric takes advantage of the distraction and starts unloading on Lashley. MVP asks him if he is struggling against Cedric, then what is he going to do against Omos at Backlash.

Lashley’s tackle is countered by Cedric. MVP continues to talk from the stage while Cedric keeps Lashley under control. Lashley rolls out to the floor and cuts off Cedric’s suicide dive. He sends Cedric into the ringpost and then into the barricade. Back to the ring, Lashley hits a big spear. Lashley puts on the Hurt Lock and gets the submission.

Winner- Bobby Lashley

Liv Morgan is backstage for an interview. Liv says Rhea believes that she was the problem in their tag team, but Rhea has her own problems.

Bianca Beliar, Asuka, Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley, Sonya Deville & Becky Lynch

Becky and Asuka start the match. They ducks each other’s kicks. Becky tags out to Sonya but tags out as she sees Bianca coming in from the other side. Rhea locks up with Bianca as the crowd chants for her. Back and forth counters before Rhea drops Bianca in anger. She knocks off Liv from the apron. Sonya comes in and Bianca avoids her sliding knee. Bianca drops Sonya with a tackle and tags in Liv.

Becky takes a blind tag and drops Liv with a tackle. Liv counters with a backslide pin attempt. Liv sends Becky to the corner and hits knee strikes. Rhea tries to distract her. She drops Rhea to the floor. Becky tries to attack her but Liv avoids and hits a dive on Rhea. Becky decks her from behind on the floor and hits a leg drop from the top rope for a two-count. We cut to a break.

Rhea is in control over Liv as we return. Rhea slams Liv’s face to the mat. Quick tags between the heels as they keep Liv in their corner. Liv avoids the Manhandle slam and hits a tornado DDT. Bianca hits some tackles on Rhea as they tag in. Bianca hits a body slam to get a two-count. Rhea counters the second body slam and puts Bianca on the top. Bianca blocks the superplex and drops Rhea to the mat. Sonya distracts her, allowing Rhea to deck. Sonya and Rhea hits double superplex on Bianca. Liv breaks the pin.

Asuka tags in and hits kicks on Sonya. Shge hits a running kick, kicks in the corner and a German suplex for a two-count. Asuka snaps Sonya’s arm. Liv makes the blind tag. Sonya knocks off liv to the floor. Asuka knocks him off with a hip attack in to Liv’s knee. Back to the ring, all participants starts to get involved one by one. Sonya tries to use the ropes for a pin attempt but the referee sees it. Bianca removes Sonya’s legs and she starts screaming at the referee. Liv hits Sonya with Oblivion to get the pin.

Winner- Bianca Beliar, Asuka, Liv Morgan

The show goes off the air with winners celebrating.
