WWE Officials Had a Chat with Ronda Rousey After Raw Promo
According to the latest reports, WWE officials had to talk with Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey following her first promo on WWE Raw.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that people went out and spoke to Ronda Rousey following her promo on the Royal Rumble fallout edition of Raw.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet cut a promo in a segment with Becky Lynch, but the fans have several complaints. It is said that Ronda was still bitter with WWE fans due to how they turned on her during the storyline with Becky Lynch during her last run in the company.
This led to the WWE officials pulling her aside and having a chat with her about the situation. Ronda is being recalled that she is playing a babyface and if she is bitter at the fans, she won’t be able to play that role very well. It seems like the talk worked and her promo on SmackDown saw an improvement. Not only that, but she also engaged with the audience on her way to the ring.
The former UFC star won the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match on her return to the company almost after 3 years. She later announced that she would challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown’s title in the main event of WrestleMania 38.
Ronda Rousey appeared at the Rumble after quite a long hiatus. She last appeared in the main event of WrestleMania 35 where she lost the title to Becky Lynch. During that storyline, the fans started cheering for Becky, who was over as babyface at the time, and started booing Ronda despite not doing anything wrong. She was ultimately turned heel as the storyline progressed.
How will Ronda’s second WWE run go on? Keep tuned in for more news and updates from WWE.
