Welcome to the live results blog for the WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 event, which will be live from Berlin, Germany.

Gunther headlines a WWE PLE for the first time in his home country as he defends World Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes will face Kevin Owens in Undisputed WWE Championship match.

The Unholy Union will defend Women’s Tag Team titles against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are clashing in a Strap match. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley will seek revenge against Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.

RESULTS

• Cody Rhodes(c) defeated Kevin Owens in a singles match via pinfall to retain Undisputed WWE Championship.
• Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill defeated The Unholy Union(Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn)(c) in a tag team match via pinfall to win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
• CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match.
• Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley defeated Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan in a Mixed Tag Team Match via pinfall.
• Gunther(c) defeated Randy Orton in a singles match via pinfall to retain World Heavyweight Championship.

LIVE UPDATES

The main show opened with entrances of stars on the card tonight. We cut to the opening video package.

Cody Rhodes(c) vs Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Championship

Kevin Owens is the first one to make his entrance. The crowd sings along with Cody Rhodes’ theme as he enters. The atmosphere gets heated as we get closer to the bell.

The two competitors face-off for a while before engaging in a lock up. KO pushes Cody to the ropes before the referee calls for the break. Cody puts on a side headlock. KO counters it before hitting a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Cody tries to create some momentum but KO blocks a Cody Cutter. Both men are so cautious as they know each other’s game so well.

KO avoids a disaster kick and hits a senton. KO starts to work on Cody’s back. KO blocks Crossrhodes before Cody blocks a Stunner. They switch waistlocks before Cody throws KO to the floor. KO catches his dive and drives him into the apron. Cody avoids a cannonball. He hits a springboard kick and quickly follows up with a suicide dive. Cody puts on an arm slicer submission after a takedown. KO is able to break it, but Cody hits his midsection with a knee.

Cody hits a dropkick. He puts on a figure four leglock. KO has to work a lot to get to the ropes. KO hits a chop as he sells a leg injury. He sends Cody to the apron and tackles him into the barricade. KO hits a splash on the floor. Back to the ring, KO gets a two-count. KO works on Cody’s ribs. He hits a side Russian Leg Sweep. They collide in the middle of the ring.

Cody starts to create momentum with a shoulder tackle and a snap powerslam. He hits a disaster kick next. KO hits back with a German suplex and a superkick. Cody hits a Cody Cutter to get a near fall. Cody lets KO get to his feet before they trade chops, forearms and punches. Cody hits a neckbreaker. KO goes to the top. Cody trips him and get to the top himself. KO hits him with an avalanche rolling senton to get a near fall.

Cody hangs back on the ropes to block a stunner. Cody then turns another Stunner into Crossrhodes, but KO kicks out of a near fall. Cody’s superplex is turned into a brainbuster by KO. KO gets late as he drags himself onto Cody to only get a two-count. They trade big punches, headbutts, more punches and then superkicks. Cody hits his signature dropdown punch. His knee gave up when he attempts a double jump moonsault. KO gets conflicted in attacking the knee. Cody rolls to the floor. KO follows him to trade punches before hitting a kick to the knee.

KO hesitates in hitting an apron powerbomb. He rolls Cody back into the ring where Cody rolls him up for a two-count. KO hits a Stunner, but Cody kicks out. Cody hits a Crossrhodes. He hits another Crossrhodes. KO blocks the third one and hits a Stunner. Cody still kicks out. KO goes for a Swanton bomb but Cody gets his knees up. Cody hits another Crossrhodes to get the pinfall.

Cody tries to console KO as he is distraught. KO hugs him and raises his hands. KO stops Cody as he raises his hand. The segment ends with KO raising Cody’s hand once again.

The Unholy Union(Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn)(c) vs Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Jade is the first one to come out. Bianca follows her out. The champions come out together.

The champions tries to confuse Bianca, who starts for her team, by trying to engage her from different directions. Jade comes in and attacks one of the Unholy Union while Bianca takes on the other one. Bianca hits a suplex. Jade hits a side slam. Jade and Bianca do quick tags as they work on Fyre. Bianca hits a suplex on Fyre. Isla runs a distraction but it does not affect Bianca. The Unholy Union run more distractions to finally drop Bianca. She gets thrown into the barricade on the floor. Jade goes to help her against the “illegal” Isla on the floor but Fyre hits her with a suicide dive.

Fyre and Isla work on Bianca with quick tags. They target her midsection in particular. Bianca tries to roll over Isla but Fyre gets a blind tag and hits a Meteora. Fyre keeps Bianca in a submission for a while. Bianca breaks free but Fyre uses her braids to pull her back. Bianca fights out of the opposite corner but Fyre pulls her back again. Bianca hits punches but Fyre ducks a clothesline before hitting a DDT using Jade as a springboard. Fyre hits a suplex but Isla misses double knees in the corner.

Bianca hits Fyre with a back body drop to send her to the floor. Bianca hits a back suplex on Isla. Jade gets the tag finally. She tackles both opponents before hitting a double clothesline. Isla is hit with a spinebuster. Fyre is hit with a fallaway slam. Jade hits corner splashes before hitting a suplex on Isla. Jade kicks Fyre out of the ring before hitting a superkick on Isla. Bianca tags in. Fyre is the legal woman for her team and attacks Bianca from behind. The Unholy Union hit a double team finisher but Jade breaks up the pin.

Jade and Bianca double up to send Isla to the floor and hit Fyre with a spinebuster and a splash. Fyre kicks out of the pin. Chaos ensues after Jade pulls Bianca from a senton from Fyre on the Isla’s knees. Fyre is kicked to the floor. Bianca and Jade hit DDT and German Suplex combo before Jade hit The Jaded on Isla to get the pinfall.

CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre – Strap Match

Drew McIntyre comes out first. We see the red and green lights in all four corners of the ring. Green lights are for Punk while Red lights are for Drew. Punk makes his entrance. Drew attacks him on the apron while he is posing despite the referee trying to stop him. Drew drops Punk on the announce table after battering him with punches. Drew takes him into the ring. The referee separates them with some effort. Drew picks up the strap and lashes it on Punk’s back. The match is yet to start.

The referee confers with Punk and puts the strap on his hand to get the match started. Drew hits a DDT and a suplex. Punk rolls out of the ring. Drew pulls him into the apron with the strap. He lashes the strap on Punk’s back several more times. Drew taps in one corner as the crowd gets hostile towards him. Drew hits a chop. Punk ducks a chop and hits GTS. Punk teases tapping in the corner but then starts to beat up Drew.

Punk stomps on Drew’s hand after pulling him into the apron. Drew run him over from behind when he goes to pull something from underneath the ring. Drew slams Punk’s face on the announce table. Punk counters the Futureshock DDT with a back body drop on top of the announce table. Punk lashes the strap on his back. Punk pulls out a table but Drew lashes on his back to stop him. Drew puts the table back under the ring. Drew picks up a chair and hits him into the midsection.

Back into the ring, Drew hits a powerslam on top of a chair. He hits punches and headbutts. Drew sets up the chair in the corner which gives Punk a chance to recover and hit a jumping knee. Punk hits a bulldog next. He drives Drew into the ring post before setting up the table. Drew gets into the ring. Punk follows him. Drew catches him with a Claymore kick. Drew goes to tap corners. Punk drops to the floor and pulls Drew into a chair set up in the corner.

They trade punches in the middle now. They batter each other. Punk counters Drew’s Claymore with a dropkick of his own. Punk puts on the sharpshooter. Drew taps out immediately but Punk does not let it go, and the referee can’t force him to leave. Drew passes out due to pain. Punk goes to tap one corner. Drew tries to pull him from the second one but Punk taps it. Drew pulls Punk back and hits a neckbreaker.

Drew does a kip-up. He pulls out Punk’s bracelet from his trunks. He puts on the bracelet before getting ready for a Claymore. Drew hits the Claymore kick. Drew goes to tap three corners easily before Punk him back to hit GTS. Punk gets up when he sees his bracelet. Punk hits another GTS. He goes to tap two corners before hitting another GTS and goes to the third corner. Punk hits another GTS. He pulls out his bracelet before tapping on the fourth corner to get the win.

Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan – Mixed Tag Team Match

Liv and Dominik enter first. Rhea and Priest enter separately. Dominik and Priest start the match. Dominik tries to keep away from Priest for a few seconds before hitting a kick to midsection. Priest hits him with a boot before unloading on him with big shots. He catches him with a back elbow when Dominik runs the ropes. Dominik avoids a chokeslam but runs into another big boot.

Dominik tags out to Liv. Rhea jumps at her from behind Priest when Liv tries to play with Priest. Rhea attacks her relentlessly with quick moves. Liv also has to tag out to Dominik in desperation. Priest beats up Dominik once again. Liv runs a distraction on Priest on the apron to allow Dominik to knock him into the announce table. Dominik gets in complete control. He gets some punches going before hitting a springboard senton. Liv takes a cheap shot to help Dominik keep control. Priest hits back but Dominik counters with a DDT. Another cheap shot from Liv when Dominik distracted the referees. Priest counters a suplex into one of his own.

Priest tags in Rhea. Rhea hits several clotheslines before hitting knee to Liv’s face before another clothesline. Rhea hits a German suplex and a ripcord knee. Dominik tries to distract Rhea, but Rhea hits Liv with an elbow when she attacks her from behind. Rhea then goes after Dominik and batters him with big shots. Rhea’s obsession of beating up Dominik allows Liv to tackle her. Liv hits Rhea with a modified takedown to get a near fall. Rhea hits a low enzuigiri and tags in Priest. Priest runs over Dominik several times before hitting a catapult clothesline. Liv breaks up the pinfall.

Rhea attacks Liv with a kick. Rhea and Priest hit Dominik and Liv with clap bell and Razor Edge in succession. Rhea throws Liv out of the ring. Priest gets ready for a chokeslam but JD McDonagh and Carlito run distractions. Liv hit Rhea with a sunset flip powerbomb on the floor. Finn Balor hits Priest with a slingblade. Dominik hits 619 and a frog splash but Priest kicks out.

Liv tags in and hits a suicide dive on Rhea. Rhea blocks Oblivion and goes for the Riptide but McDonagh distracts her again. Priest tackles McDonagh into the announce table. He hits a superkick on Balor. Dominik hits a suicide dive on Priest. Priest chokeslammed Dominik into the table. Liv stares down Priest from the ring. She turns around to a headbutt from Rhea. Rhea hits the Riptide to get the pinfall.

Gunther(c) vs Randy Orton – World Heavyweight Championship

Randy Orton enters with the crowd singing along with his song. Gunther follows him out in a rather short entrance. Ludwig Kaiser gets a loud reaction when he asks for the mic from announcer Samantha Irvin. Kaiser gives a special announcement to Gunther as the crowd starts to get behind the World Champion. The crowd gets raccous as the bell rings.

They lock up to start the match. The referee has to separate them when they tangle in the corner. Gunther gets a headlock takedown. Randy replies with the same. They waste some time in showboating. Gunther puts on a hammerlock. Randy gets to the ropes. Gunther goes for a sleeper choke. Randy has to work hard to get to the corner to break free.

Gunther hits a couple of chops to drop Randy. He hits corner tackles and a big uppercut. A neck crank follows quickly. He hits a couple of elbows to the neck. Randy fires back with punches in anger. Gunther matches him before dropping him again with a chop. Randy counters a whip on the floor to send Gunther into the steel steps.

Randy starts to work on the right arm after Gunther hurts his shoulder. Randy sends him into the steps once again. Randy then drops Gunther on the announce table with a side slam a couple of times. He hits a side slam a few more times. Gunther jumps on him with a sleeper when they return to the ring. Randy slams the arm on his shoulder to hurt it more.

Gunther fires back with chops before Randy hits him with a DDT with a hammerlock on his injured arm. Randy hits a fallaway slam after this. Gunther hits a kick to Randy and a clothesline. Gunther uses his boot to hit Randy when his clothesline does not work. Randy hits a snap powerslam to get a two-count. Gunther blocks the draping DDT and hits a German suplex. Gunther takes him to the top. Randy chops him before hitting a superplex. Both men are down for a while.

Randy fires punches when they get up. Gunther replies with a chop. Randy hits his uppercut before they get into trading shots for a while. Gunther has to resort to using his kicks but Orton rakes his eyes. Orton hits a draping DDT. He gets ready for RKO but Gunther counters with a German suplex. Gunther hits T-Rex dropkick and a splash from the top rope. Randy kicks out of the pinfall. Gunther’s arm gave out when he attempts a powerbomb. Gunther hits a clothesline with his left arm. Randy blocks another powerbomb.

More back and forth before Gunther hits a big clothesline. Gunther hit the powerbomb to get a near fall. Gunther goes for the powerbomb but fails to hit it. Randy counters with an RKO, but Gunther kicks out. Randy can’t believe it. Randy sets up the steel steps. Gunther recovers and slams Randy’s head on the announce table. Randy hits a sideslam on the step. Randy slams his face on the steps. He drives Gunther through the table from the top of the stairs. Randy poses on top of the stairs as the crowd tries to get behind Gunther.

Randy drags Gunther back to the ring where Gunther blocks an RKO. Gunther puts on a sleeper. Randy is struggling. Randy manages to get up and break the hold. Gunther hits him with a chop on the back and puts on the sleeper again. Randy picks him up and slams him down. Gunther puts on the choke once again and wraps his leg around him. Gunther hits elbow on the neck before putting the choke again to put Orton to sleep.
