WALTER Challenges KUSHIDA for a Tag Team Match
After their altercation last week, WALTER has issued a challenge to KUSHIDA to find tag team partners and face Imperium at NXT episode of 25 September.
Last week at NXT’s USA debut, Imperium and WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER arrived at NXT and interrupted a match where KUSHIDA was supposed to take part. WALTER went on to announced that the mat is sacred to them and anyone disrespecting it will face the wrath of Imperium.
This led to KUSHIDA coming out and having an altercation with Imperium. KUSHIDA’s agility came in handy as he left unscathed from the brawl. Going back, KUSHIDA also signaled a challenge for WALTER for a match. WALTER competed in match at Evolve event in the weekend and was interviewed backstage afterward. He challenged KUSHIDA to find tag team partner and face Imperium at NXT this week.
At present, it is not known who KUSHIDA would choose as his partner(s) and even that whether the match will be a 4, 6 or 8 men tag match. Recently, KUSHIDA partnered with Jordan Myles in a match against Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner from Imperium in NXT live events. So, that might be a hint for the upcoming match.
Imperium was formed on the philosophy of WATLER’s earlier stable Ringkempf which competed in Westside Xtreme Wrestling, Pro-Wrestling Guerrilla and Progress Wrestling. The heel stable lives and dies by the philosophy that “mat is sacred.” For more information on Ringkempf, you can check out this Reddit link.
Imperium debuted in NXT UK in May when WALTER, Fabian Aichner, and Marcel Barthel were joined by Alexander Wolfe against British Strong Styles.
