WrestleMania 38: Vince McMahon Defeats McAfee After McAfee Defeats Austin Theory
Vince McMahon defeats Pat McAfee after McAfee defeats his prodigy Austin Theory in a singles match at WrestleMania 38 Night 2.
Pat McAfee wrestled not only one but two matches at the grandest stage of them all. In the first one, he managed to defeat Austin Theory fair and square whereas, in the second one, he got toyed with by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Pat McAfee displayed great athleticism during his match with Theory. He even leaped to the top rope and delivered a suplex. In the ending moments, when Austin Theory was going for ATL, McAfee rolled him up and got the pinfall.
After the match, Vince McMahon got inside the ring and brought the referee. Austin Theory attacked McAfee before the match even started.
McMahon toyed with McAfee for a while, and then he punted a football before he pinned him to win the match. Austin Theory and Vince McMahon were celebrating the latter’s victory, but then the Glass shattered and Stone Cold Steve Austin made his way to the ring.
First, Steve Austin stunned Theory, and then he drank a beer with Vince McMahon before delivering a stunner to him. Soon, Pat McAfee also joined Austin and celebrated with him before getting stunned by Austin.
WWE Chairman Vince McMahon offered Pat McAfee a match at the Showcase of the Immortals when he appeared on his show. McAfee gladly accepted his offer but the name of his opponent wasn’t revealed.
The following week on SmackDown, Austin Theory appeared and revealed McMahon had chosen him as McAfee’s opponent at WrestleMania 38. During the build-up, Austin Theory continues to get on Pat McAfee’s nerves. Once, he even hides in Vince McMahon’s offices, and when McAfee kicked the door, McMahon threatened to fire him and cancel his WrestleMania match.
