Triple H accepts Bautista’s challenge for WrestleMania 35 Match with added Stipulation

Triple H accepts Bautista’s challenge for WrestleMania 35 Match

Triple H has accepted the challenge from Bautista for the match at WrestleMania this year while also adding the No-Holds-Barred Stipulation to the match.

The Triple H-Bautista WrestleMania match is in the making since the 1000th Episode of SmackDown when Bautista mocked Hunter for not being able to beat him in a single match during the Evolution reunion. But the plans went out of the window once Triple H suffered a torn pectoral at Crown Jewels event. After undergoing a surgery, Hunter made a remarkable recovery to make the match possible. Bautista, then kick started the storyline by beating down Ric Flair on his 70th Birthday celebration to get the attention from Hunter. After missing RAW last week, Bautista made an appearance at this week’s episode.

Bautista entered the arena flanked with his bodygaurds and stood at the entrance while Triple H was in the ring. Bautista explained the secutiry arrangement by saying that Hunter could pass any limits when it comes to playing dirty. Bautista asked Hunter to give him what he wants but Hunter kept denying it until he comes in the ring to come face to face to him and asks for it directly. Bautista said that he wanted one last match at WrestleMania so that he could end his own career along with ending Hunter’s career at the same time. Triple H agreed to the match and made the stipulation as the No-Holds Barred match.

Bautista was part of the heel faction Evolution alongside Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. He rose through the ranks with the stable but turned face after winning the 2005 Royal Rumble and choosing to face the World Champion at the time, Triple H. He was able to beat Triple H at Wrestle Mania 21 and later faced him twice more in a singles match, coming out on top each time. Even after having considerable success with WWE, Bautista hasn’t always gotten along well with company management, including Triple H. Bautista left WWE for the first time in 2010 over creative differences, returning in 2014 for another short run before once again departing due to backstage clashes over his character’s storylines.

But Bautista wanted to have one last match in his wrestling career at the grandest stage of it all. After going back and forth on the possibility of the match due to circumstances, the match is finally declared at last night’s episode of RAW. WrestleMania 35 will take place at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey on 7 April this year.
