Tonga Signs New NJPW Contract, Reveals WWE’s Interest in GOD

Significant contract news regarding NJPW wrestler Tama Tonga has emerged.

The current holder of NEVER Openweight Championship, Tonga recently had a conversation with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, in which he touched upon various aspects of his career.

Fightful Select has shared an excerpt from that interview where Tonga has confirmed that he has extended his contract with NJPW and will remain a part of their roster.

In another part of the interview, Tama Tonga discussed the interest shown by WWE in signing him and his brother, Tanga Loa. However, he went on to clarify that, although he did briefly wrestle for NJPW without a contract in the past, he has no intentions of leaving the promotion.

Tama Tonga also expressed his satisfaction with the existing schedule and the regular tours in the United States that NJPW provides.

Tama Tonga’s most recent match took place at the NJPW Royal Quest III event, where he teamed up with El Phantasmo and Tanga Loa to secure a victory against the BULLET CLUB War Dogs, which consisted of Alex Coughlin, David Finlay, and Gabe Kidd.
