Steel Cage Match & Another Rematch Announced for NXT 18 May Episode
NXT has announced two rematches from NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver for NXT episode of 18 May 2021.
First up, Bronson Reed, the #1 contender for North American Championship, will get his title shot against Johnny Gargano in a Steel Cage match. Reed earlier faced Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night 2, where he lost the match via some interference from Austin Theory.
Reed defeated Theory in a singles match two weeks back. The match had the stipulation that if Reed wins, he will get his rematch with Gargano. This week’s NXT episode saw Gargano and Theory attacking Reed in the locker room.
Reed cut a promo later in the show and revealed that NXT General Manager William Regal has agreed to have the North American Title match inside a steel cage, and the match will go down next week.
In another rematch from NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Tony Storm will face Zoey Stark. Stark defeated Storm in the pre-show match at the last TakeOver event.
Storm was also defeated by the newcomer Zayda Ramier on 27 April episode of NXT. Stark confronted Storm after she attacked Ramier last week on NXT.
