WWE SmackDown Live Results and Updates- 5 February 2019
Welcome to the live blog of 5th February episode of SmackDown live. Today’s lineup is as follows:
1. Mustafa Ali vs Randy Orton
2. Jeff Hardy vs Daniel Bryan
3. The Good Brothers vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev
Charlotte wants to go to WM
The show opens with Charlotte Flair making her way to the ring. They are showing how Becky was suspended last night on RAW. Charlotte says Becky is reckless and arrogant and last night her arrogance cost her when she beat Stephaine McMahon that got her suspended. Charlotte says she hopes Becky becomes healthy and go to Wrestle Manaia and mocks the crowd for chanting Becky’s name. She says that she is 100% healthy and wants to face Ronda Rousey at WM.
Becky makes her way from the crowd. Charlotte says, “It’s one thing to it’s another to steal Roman Reigns entrance.” As soon as Becky gets into the ring, officials also come out. Charlotte is mocking her injury. Triple H has come out and asks Becky to go away and sends Charlotte backstage. Triple H tells Becky if she wants her suspension to be lifted, all she has to do is go and see a doctor. Becky says that she doesn’t trust any of the authorities’ doctors because she doesn’t want her opportunity taken away. Triple H tells Becky to go home. Becky fires back by asking Triple H how Stephaine is after she punched her in the face. H says that he bought into the Man gimmick but now believes Becky is just a self-destructor and that Becky is looking a way of getting out of the match against Ronda.
The crowd starts a Becky chant, but Triple H tells them to shut their mouths. He tells Becky about her reckless decisions that lost her the Survivor Series match with Ronda. Triple H then pokes at Becky, “Is your knee even injured?” Triple H says that Becky is scared that if she gets cleared, Ronda will expose her as a fraud. Becky slaps Triple H and the two have a staredown. Hunter’s anger is boiling, but Becky is just smiling. She leaves through the crowd, the same way she came into the arena.
The Good Brothers vs. Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura
Gallows knocks Rusev out of the ring before bringing Nakamura to the corner and tags Anderson for a double team attack. Nakamura takes control and Rusev tags himself in. Anderson rolls him up while Rusev and Naka are arguing but Naka breaks up the pin. Gallows comes in and steamrolls Shinsuke to the outside. Anderson throws Rusev over. Suicide plancha from Anderson and both Shinsuke and Rusev are taken out.
Nakamura has Anderson in a headlock. Anderson hits an uppercut but misses corner kick. Naka takes him down with an exploder and Anderson hits a spinebuster. Both men are down before Gallows and Rusev get the tag. Gallows hits Rusev with a superkick and a chokebomb before they take each other down with a clothesline. Lana asks Nakamura to get into the ring. Naka goes in the ring and saves Rusev from the Magic Killer. Rusev hits the Machka Kick on Gallows for the pin and the win.

After the match, Rusev picks up Nakamura and they celebrate with Lana.
Ali shows off her LED mask in a backstage promo. Next is Paige promoting her movie- “Fighting with my Family”. Miz TV is now McMiz TV and first guests on next week’s show are going to be the Usos. In a backstage promo, Usos say that Shane and Miz call themselves the best tag team in the world, but mock them for their odd relationship. They announce their appearance at next week’s McMiz TV.
Randy Orton vs Mustafa Ali
Orton takes Ali to the corner and makes a clean break. Ali chops him in the chest before they started trading strikes. Orton hit him with a clothesline and stomps. He takes Ali outside the ring and drops him on the announce table with a side suplex. Orton disturbs the ropes to trip Ali on the to and hits him with a
Orton puts Ali in a headlock again. They are again outside where Ali counters a side suplex and hit a dropkick to send Orton over the announce table. Ali dives over Orton on the table and continues with stomps. Back in the ring, Ali hits Orton with a

Samoa Joe comes out after the bell and put Orton in Coquina Clutch to choke him out and then kicks Ali out of the ring. Daniel Bryan enters and Joe is about to attack him also but Joe stops when Rowan comes out to back Daniel.
Promos by Elimination Chamber Stars
Back from commercial and Samoa Joe is cutting a promo backstage. Joe says that Randy Orton learned about him tonight and claims to win the WWE title at Elimination Chamber.
Bryan is introduced as Washington’s favorite son as he comes out to the ring. He gives a promo before the match talking about being the planet’s champions. Rowan gets on the microphone for the first time after returning. He says that people fear Bryan and Rowan because he holds the title and they will try to silence him as long as Bryan is WWE champion, they will try and silence him. Bryan then cuts a promo for the Elimination Chamber match.
Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles also cut a promo backstage.
Carmella & Naomi vs Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs the IIconics
An earlier promo from Carmella and Naomi is shown. Naomi says that the story Mandy Rose told about their days on Tough Enough last week does not have any truth in it. Carmella says that they will become the first-ever women’s tag team champions.
The
Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose are interviewed backstage. Sonya says that the newly formed team of Carmella and Naomi are not experienced enough to compete with them, and other than Sasha and Bayley only they have been in an Elimination Chamber match. Mandy then brags that Naomi has never pinned her. She and Sonya go out for the match.
Carmella and Sonya start the match. Deville hit a few knees before bringing in Mandy who is put in

Backstage, Andrade and Zelina Vega cut a promo. They say that what happened to Mysterio was only the beginning because the legend of Andrade begins with Rey Mysterio’s end.
Finally, the champion Asuka is getting some footage. Although it’s just a video highlight.
Daniel Bryan vs Jeff Hardy
Bryan locks Hardy in a hammerlock and they break. Hardy then hit a shoulder. Uppercut by Daniel Bryan followed by Yes kick. Hardy takes him down with a slingshot. He takes Bryan to the corner and hit a shoulder block. Bryan has now taken control with corner dropkicks to Hardy’s face. Hardy hits a dropkick to send Bryan to the floor. He hits another dropkick through the ropes. Hardy goes to floor but Rowan stands in his way to distract him. Bryan takes advantage and trips Hardy on the steel steps.
Bryan is keeping control with hammerlock again. After some kicks, Bryan goes for the pin. Jeff makes a comeback with an atomic drop. He takes out Bryan with a suicide dive outside the ring. Bryan is taken back in the ring. Hardy was going for the finisher but Bryan rolls away. Bryan trips Hardy to send him face first into the turnbuckle and followed with Yes Kicks. Jeff countered with a neck breaker and goes for the Twist of Fate and hits it. He goes for the pin but Rowan pulls him out and sends him through the steel steps to cause DQ.
Bryan puts him in Labell lock until Samoa Joe comes out and lays out Rowan before getting in the ring to put Bryan in Coquina Clutch. Orton runs down and goes after Joe. Ali comes out and takes out both men with a dropkick from the top rope. Rowan grabs Ali by the face and slams him on the announce table.
AJ Styles comes out and starts taking out everyone with the Phenomenal Forearm and springboard 450. Bryan and Rowan are retreating up the ramp while AJ poses in the ring. Bryan rants at others as Kayla Braxton tries to interview him backstage.
