Seth Rollins Confirms Torn MCL, Vows To Go To WrestleMania 40
Seth Rollins conveyed unfortunate news during WWE January 22, 2024, episode of RAW but delivered a heartfelt and impassioned message.
On January 22 episode of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins kicked off the show by emotionally recounting the injury he sustained the previous week. Despite securing victory over Jinder Mahal for the championship, Rollins described feeling his knee unexpectedly give way during the match.
Although he managed to complete the bout, Rollins revealed that he suffered a grade-two MCL tear and partially torn meniscus. He also said that undergoing surgery would require a recovery period of three to four months and an extended period of recovery.

Rollins expressed uncertainty about the future and emphasized the need to assess things on a week-by-week basis and there is a genuine possibility of missing WrestleMania.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther then interrupted him, stating that they had been avoiding each other and expressing a desire to voice his thoughts. Gunther acknowledged him as a workhorse champion from the beginning and commended his reputation as a fighting champion. He drew a comparison between the two of them and expressed sadness at the prospect of Rollins potentially missing WrestleMania.
In response, Rollins dismissed the doctors’ opinions and the challenges ahead, asserting that he didn’t care. He passionately vowed to uphold his promise and carry his championship into WrestleMania 40.
Gunther then made a commitment to emerge victorious in the Royal Rumble, declaring Seth Rollins as his chosen opponent and he confidently mentioned he would take the title from Rollins.
WWE Royal Rumble 2024 is set to take place this Saturday, January 27. Gunther is one of the leading contenders to win the match along with CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.
