ROH Final Battle 2022 PPV will be the last PPV of the year from Ring of Honor and AEW. Taking place on December 10, 2022, it is the 21st event in the Final Battle series.
Chris Jericho will defend ROH World Championship against Claudio Castagnoli at the event. ROH Women’s Champion Mercedes Martinez and World Tag Team Champions FTR are also expected to be in action.

Pre-Show Matches
4 matches were added to the pre-show for ROH Final Battle 2022. They are as follow:
- Willow Nightingale vs. Trish Adora – Singles Match
- The Kingdom(Matt Taven & Mike Bennet) vs. Top Flight(Darius Martin & Dante Martin) – Tag Team Match
- Jericho Appreciation Society(Angelo Parker & Matt Menard) vs. Shinobi Shadow Squad(Cheeseburger & Eli Isom) – Tag Team Match
- Máscara Dorada vs. Jeff Cobb – Singles Match
Chris Jericho(c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli
ROH World Championship(Main Event)
Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Grand Slam to win the ROH World title. He defended the title against several former ROH World Champions and continued to disparage ROH name with systematic cheating. He successfully defended the title at AEW Full Gear 2022 event in a fatal 4-way match against Claudio, Bryan Danielson & Sammy Guevara. After he defeated Tomohiro Ishii on AEW Dynamite November 23 episode, Claudio dropped him with a slap. Later that week, Claudio asked for a rematch for the title. Jericho agreed to the match with the stipulation that Claudio has to join the Jericho Appreciation Society if fails to win.
Daniel Garcia(c) vs. Wheeler Yuta
ROH Pure Championship
Daniel Garcia will defend this ROH Pure title against Wheeler Yuta in the second JAS vs BCC bout. Yuta defended the title against Garcia at Death Before Dishonor. Garcia then defeated Yuta in his second attempt to become the champion on Dynamite in September. A rematch is set for Final Battle PPV after Yuta accepted a tag team match against JAS.
Mercedes Martinez(c) vs. Athena
ROH Women’s Championship
Mercedes Martinez won ROH Women’s Championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor event. But, she was not able to defend the title since then because of an injury. She returned to AEW in November to save Madison Rayne from an attack from Athena. Athena was later announced to challenge Martinez at Final Battle.
Samoa Joe(c) vs. Juice Robinson
ROH World Television Championship
Juice Robinson appeared on AEW Rampage December 2 episode to challenge “The King of TV” Samoe Joe for ROH TV Championship. AEW made the match official later that day.
Swerve in Our Glory(Keith Lee & Shane “Swerve” Strickland) vs Shane Taylor Promotions(Shane Taylor & JD Griffin)
Tag Team Match
Shane Taylor appeared on AEW Rampage December 2 episode and confronted Keith Lee on leaving his family behind, referencing their tag team split from 6 years ago. Taylor then challenged Lee to face him at Final Battle in a singles match. ROH then announced Lee teaming up with Shane Strickland to take on Shane Taylor and JD Griffin.
FTR(Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood)(c) vs The Briscoes(Joe Briscoe & Mark Briscoe)
ROH World Tag Team Championship
FTR defeated The Briscoes at Supercard of Honor XV to win ROH Tag Team Championship. FTR also won a rematch between these teams at ROH Death Before Dishonor event in July 2022, which was a 2 out of 3 falls match. As revealed by The Gunn Club on AEW Dynamite December 7 episode, The Briscoes once again challenged FTR for a title match in a double dog collar match.
Datlon Castle & The Boys(Brandon & Brent)(c) vs Brian Cage & Gates of Agony(Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun)
ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championship
Dalton Castle and the Boys won the ROH Six Man Tag Team titles at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2022 event from the Righteous. They defended it on AEW Dark: Elevation a few times since then. AEW then announced their title defense at ROH Final Battle 2022 event against The Embassy’s Brian Cage, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun.
Blake Christian & AR Fox vs. La Facción Ingobernable(Dralístico & Rush)
Tag Team Match
LFI’s manager introduced Dralístico to AEW audience on Rampage episode of December 9 and announced that he will team up with Rush for a match at Final Battle. They will face a team of AR Fox and Blake Christian.
