Roderick Strong Became the New WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion

In tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, Roderick Strong defeated Kushida to become the new WWE NXT Cruiserweight champion.

The revamped NXT is coming with a lot of changes. It has only been a second episode, and the fans already witnessed a major title change. Tonight’s episode featured Roderick challenging Kushida for the Cruiserweight championship, and he successfully ended up winning it.

Malcolm Bivens distracted the referee, and at the same time, The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile of The Diamond Mine attacked Kushida on the ringside. Strong took advantage of it and hit Kushida with the backbreaker to win the championship.

This is the very first time that Roderick Strong won the Cruiserweight title. He ended Kushida’s 160 days title reign. Kushida won the belt on the April 13 episode of NXT by defeating Santos Escobar. 

Now, it will be really interesting to see who will be the first challenger of Roderick Strong as a new Cruiserweight champion.
