Ric Flair Granted Release From WWE
WWE has released more than 100 wrestlers, backstage support staff and employees since the start of 2020. Just two days back, we got the shocking news of Bray Wyatt’s release from WWE Universe.
Now, it seems that WWE has ended their contract with the Nature Boy Ric Flair.
According to the latest report by Fightful and Wrestling Inc, Ric Flair was granted release from WWE. It was reported that the legendary wrestler Ric Flair requested his release and WWE granted it today.
WWE is yet to announce this news officially but it is confirmed that the company has come to the terms of Ric Flair’s release.
Fightful Select added in their report that Flair grew frustrated with certain booking decisions on WWE TV, and contacted McMahon directly to voice his issues. Flair directly asked Vince for his release from the company.
Ric Flair is one of the legendary wrestlers and is a record 16-time world champion. He hasn’t wrestled any match since 2011 but appeared in several on-screen roles after that. The superstar re-signed a deal with the company last year only. Most recently, Flair was involved in a love-angle storyline with Lacey Evans. However, the storyline was nixed as Lacey became pregnant and took a hiatus.
Ric Flair’s daughter Charlotte Flair will still be a part of WWE. She is set to face Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match for a Raw Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam.
