NXT Vengeance Day 2022 Announced, Two Matches Revealed
NXT will air their second weekly special this year with Vengeance Day 2022 event.
WWE announced during this week’s NXT episode that Vengeance Day even will return on the February 15 episode of NXT. Last year, Vengeance Day was an NXT TakeOver special on February 14, 2021.
The event saw Adam Cole turning on Undisputed ERA teammates Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish after Finn Balor retained the NXT title against O’Reilly.
Two matches are also revealed for this year’s show. NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes will defend the title against Cameron Grimes. Grimes became the #1 contender on this week’s NXT episode by defeating Tony D’Angelo.
Also, the final of the 2022 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final will also take place at the Vengeance Day event. The two semifinals for the tournament are confirmed now and will take place over the next two weeks. MSK will face Edris Enofe & Malik Blade in one semifinal while The Creed Brothers will face Grizzled Young Veterans in the other semifinal match.
It is also expected that Bron Breakker vs Santos Escobar NXT Championship match will take place on the event.
