MJF Has Signed Contract Extension with AEW
AEW (All Elite Wrestling) has announced that MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) has signed a contract extension with them, which converts into a multi-year agreement.
The news was announced with an in-character video that AEW posted today on their Twitter Handle. Any further details about the length of the contract or whether MJF will become exclusive with AEW at some point weren’t revealed. But the contract extension with AEW is definitely another feather in the hat for MJF.
MJF is also under contract with Major League Wrestling and holds the MLW Tag Team titles with Richard Holliday. He will challenge for Middleweight Championship against Teddy Hart at MLW’s Never Say Never TV tapings next Thursday. As per PWInsider, his deal with MLW only prevents him from working with WWE. It’s not clear when his MLW contract expires, but according to Fightful, he is in the middle of a two year deal with MLW.
MJF has featured heavily at AEW with significant matches at every AEW show so far. MJF was an entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing, where Hangman Page last eliminated him to get the win. Page then defeated Havoc, MJF, and Jungle Boy in a four-way match at Fyter Fest. MJF teamed up with Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara to defeat Darby Allin, Joey Janela & Jimmy Havoc in a six-man tag match at Fight for the Fallen on 13 July.
