Kofi Kingston-Samoa Joe WWE Championship Match Fixed For Extreme Rules 2019
Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Championship in a match against Samoa Joe at Extreme Rules 2019 PPV, WWE has announced.
Kingston seemed to have another successful night when he had defeated Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in back to back matches at RAW this week. But his night turned into a nightmare as Samoa Joe attacked him viciously and made him pass out with Coquina Clutch. Yesterday, WWE confirmed that Joe will challenge for the WWE Championship against Kofi Kingston at Extreme Rules.
The Samoan recently lost the United States Championship last Sunday at Stomping Grounds to Ricochet while Kofi successfully defended the WWE title against Dolph Ziggler on the same night. On SmackDown last night, Dolph Ziggler was given an opportunity to be added to the WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules last night. It would have made it a triple threat contest. But Kofi once more defeated Ziggler in the Two Out of Three Falls match and the match remains the singles contest.
Originally a triple threat match between Kofi, Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler was advertised on the ticketing websites. And there is still a possibility of either of Owens and Ziggler being added to this match.
