Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) won WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on January 26, 2024, episode of SmackDown.

During January 26 edition of SmackDown, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter put up a defense of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). This match unfolded after Sane and Asuka confronted the reigning champions in the preceding week following their bout against the Unholy Union.

The two teams engaged in a fiercely contested match, with both sides battling back and forth. Ultimately, Kairi Sane secured the victory for the Kabuki Warriors with her finishing move, the Insane Elbow while Asuka held Chance down to get the pinfall and capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Carter and Chance won the titles by defeating Piper Niven and Chelsea Green on the December 18 episode of WWE RAW. Their reign lasted for in 39 days.

The Kabuki Warriors have won the tag team titles for the second time. Their previous title reign was between October 2019 to March 2020, lasting for 176 days which is the longest reign for this title yet.

Asuka has actually won this title for the fourth time. She also won the title once with Charlotte Flair in December 2020. Later in October 2022, Asuka and Alexa Bliss defeated Damage CTRL’s Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai to win the titles. Asuka and Sane are currently part of new and improved Damage CTRL.
