John Morrison has refuted the rumoring circling around that he has signed with WWE again.

PWInsider reported yesterday that Former WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison(John Hennigan) has once again signed a deal with WWE. As the report reached Morrison, he denied any such deal over social media. You can check that tweet below.

Morrison previously worked with WWE from 2002 to 2011. Originally, he was a contestant on Tough Enough and eventually made his way to the old Ohio Valley Wrestling territory which served as WWE’s developmental at the time. He debuted in WWE as part of the MNM tag team with Joey Mercury and manager Melina.

Also known at Johnny Nitro during his WWE tenure, he won the WWE Tag Team Championships on three times with Joey Mercury. Later, Morrison teamed with The Miz to win the WWE Tag Team Championships and WWE World Tag Team Championships.

After his transition to being a singles star, he captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship on three occasions, and also became ECW World Championship upon the return of ECW.

Since leaving WWE in 2011, Morrison has worked with TNA TNA Impact Wrestling as Johnny Impact and with Lucha Underground as Johnny Mundo. He has also worked extensively with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and DDT Pro Wrestling among some other independent promotions.

Morrison also appeared in one of the segments of Being the Elite Youtube series with his wife Taya Valkyrie. Being the Elite series belongs to the Youngs Bucks who are Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling.
