Hulk Hogan Hints at Rollins’ Replacement in Crown Jewel Match
WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has hinted that he has Seth Rollins’s replacement in mind for Team Hogan in the tag team match at Crown Jewel 2019. There are also some speculations that he might be replaced with Roman Reigns for that match.
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins was earlier announced as the captain of Team Hogan in the 10 men tag team match against Team Ric Flair. But Rollins was also booked to defend his title against Bray Wyatt at the same show in a Falls Count Anywhere match. We previously reported that Rollins will be removed from the tag team match at Crown Jewel and will only work his title match. WWE announced the same thing at the WWE Now episode on Youtube.
Now, Hulk Hogan expressed his feeling on Twitter that he understands that Rollins has to defend the title at the Saudi Arabia show. Hogan also hinted that he already has a plan in place to replace Rollins.
It can be speculated that Roman Reigns could replace Seth Rollins in the tag team match. Reigns has been announced for the show but is not put in any match currently. He will be facing WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a title match at this week’s Friday Night SmackDown episode(18 October).
Nakamura is already announced as part of Team Ric Flair which is lead by Randy Orton. The current lineup for the match is as follows: Team Hulk Hogan- Seth Rollin(C), Rusev, Ricochet. Team Ric Flair- Randy Orton(C), Bobby Lashley, King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura.
Even if Seth Rollins works both matches at Crown Jewel 2019, it will not be the first time for him to work two matches at a PPV show. Rollins has earlier worked two matches at Night of Champions 2015 where he defended both WWE Championship(against Sting) and WWE United States Championship(against John Cena). He also worked two matches last month at Clash of Champions when he defended the RAW Tag Team Championship as well as Universal title.
